It was a disgrace, but as I said to redrum it's practically irrelevant compared to the Morgan incident.
Obviously crap that he ended up signing for Wednesday of all clubs, altho rather them than Leeds for me. To be fair, I didn't mind his goal celebration one bit, he took some almighty stick and rightly so of course so can't blame him for the celebrations. We would have all been laughing had it been one of our players lauding it up against their former employers, especially in a local derby match.. Plus I was more focused on spitting feathers out at Davies decision making than taking much note of the celebration.
Yes I know he has qualities and 20 goal in league one 2 season's in a row is a good return. Bradshaw got the same for walsall but I doubt he will get many more this season if hecky keeps playing him up top on his own like Saturday. You could argue sam should have scored more at wednesday as he is surrounded by better players. I doubt he would have scored many more if he stayed especially if he was played as a lone striker like marley bradshaw and armstrong have been many times scince January. Sam did really well for us in the 2 n half seasons he was here but why would we take him back he stopped celebrating goals he scored for us. He chelped at fans at blackpool and stormed off. Told the club he wouldnt be playing for us after the January window. Leaked pictures of him signing for Wednesday on the day of rimmos funeral not to mention that celebration.... its a no from me I wouldn't want him back.... not that he ever would come back he hates us and that clapping at the end was just to take the attention away from our lads. If angus hadn't scored he wouldnt have clapped us it was only because most of the away end had emptied.
Winnall is clearly a tosspiece. He would probably have got 20 goals if he had stayed. Worth having for nowt certainly in this imaginary scenario.
It's like if your missus shagged your mate and then waved the used condom in your face would you take her back, no thanks wouldn't piss on her or him same goes now for rat face he can ******. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
He'd had dog's abuse all afternoon and understandably gave it back when he scored. If the fans giving it to him (and I was one) can't take it back without bairnin', they need to keep schtum. Yes, he should probably have been booked for the celebration under the 'incitement' rule, but seriously lads, get a grip.
This is where some footballers are a bit short sighted. Winnalls career will be over in 4 or 5 years. He'll have another 40 years to work. He'll make about £1.5m after tax in the next 3 years. That won't let him live the life he's accustomed too for the next 40 or 50. Someone like Bobby, like Hecky, even the likes of Conor, will always be welcome back at Oakwell for life. I don't understand why he wants to burn bridges everywhere he goes. He's going to struggle for work once the goals dry up or when his Hamstrings finally go for good.
