Oh. I thought it was going to finally be an explanation for the CEO leaving. Never mind, heads down lads
That's okay by me, but it only talks about 'recent' player sales showing a healthier balance for the next financial year. Does 'recent' include the Stones sell-on and Mawson money?? If not and they were part of the published accounts, then we look well & truly ******.
They can't be as the last accounts closed as at 31st May 2016 I think. I'd like to understand how we lost £500k then also needed another £500k from Patrick, given we were operating under SCMP. I presume that the £500k support was for the academy
Good stuff. Good to hear some of the profit this year will go into playing squad, some into ground improvement, and some for rainy day fund if the player profits dry up for a bit. Compare us to Villa... https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.bi...-villa-accounts-explained-things-12717770.amp They reported £80m losses last year (still in the premiership). With an owners who's wealth is estimated at c£800-900m how many years do you think he'll hang about if they don't make it back to premiership quickly, parachute payments dry up, and their wage bill is close to £100m.
No, think Mawson and Stones were both august 16, so will include in the 16-17 Accounts. Together with recent transfers should give Hecky and the recruitment team a nice little pot to upgrade the squad in the summer.
Villa are on the way back to the Premiership and the best bet you will make for next season is to back them for promotion. Bruce has begun sorting the wheat from the chaff and will make further progress with that during the summer. They are 7 wins from their last 8 fixtures and will carry that form into next season, when their squad will be improved further. The losses will be forgotten about if they re-establish themselves back in the top tier.
Yep think you're right. But there are plenty of clubs who need promotion or they'll be the next Wigan, Bolton, Blackburn.... The blokes clearly willing to gamble big time. If it goes wrong it could be spectacular.
Only within the normal income levels of the club. It won't be used to subsidise expenditure above this level We may spend a bit but only on a player who's wages we can afford
Two things: 1) what have those people got to say who continually insisted Barnsley hasn't got any directors? 2) The statement mentions 'cannot live beyond their means' - how can that be said when they are selling off assets at bargin basement prices?
3) How long will it take Nudger to use this info release as yet another prompt to bash the club? You're getting boring nudge pal. We've read your opinion. You're entitled to it, but it's April fella. January is well gone. Whether you're right or wrong it can't be changed and we certainly know how you feel about it. There's nothing wrong with voicing discontent or your opinion on anything but seriously, and I mean this with good intentions, it's like a broken record now. Move on, and comment on the sales /recruitment again after the summer window when you can see the whole picture. If you can't, and feel you have to club-bash at every opportunity (or even a sniff of one), then you maybe ought to question whether you still wish to support the club Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We want good is people at our club and this bloke sounds like a fan so that'll do for me . I've been critical about selling the crown jewels in January because I'm just a bloke in the crowd that wants the best for my club . This statement makes me feel like chucking a quid in the BFC charity bucket .
It will NOT move on UNTIL the 'directors' acknowledge there has was a problem in January - they accept it - and importantly they stop pissing on the supporters concerns by announcing how they plan to move forward Poor poor communication
