Would we have got 1 win in 11 if Hourihane, Winnall and Bree were in the team? Well between 13th September and 3rd of December we managed 1 win in 11 (correct me please if wrong!) So perhaps it isn't just down to who we sold but who we have played since February. Interesting.
Its all about the stats for next season now, but it still annoys the hell out of me that our players have just given up on this season now.
Nope it's probably down to flogging half the team. I guess the next few fixtures which are 'easier' should give us a clue. All I know is the team that played Cardiff on Tuesday is virtually unrecognisable from the corresponding fixture.
Can't agree Jim. I just can't see any correlation between selling your two top scorers and top assist provider and declining results. I've tried and I just can't.
Yes. But you do realise with that "half the team/3 players) in the team we also had a run of 1 win in 11??
Can you help me then. Because I thought we had a very similar run of 1 win in 11 with all the sold players in the first team. What was that down to?
Conveniently overlooked. Like I said earlier, check the archive from that period on here. Especially posts from a certain few...
We then went on a run of 4 wins in 6 - should have been 5 really. Do you think we will win 4 of the last 6?
Oh right - so we only look at results during a particular snap shot of a season? So poor form earlier is now conveniently overlooked? Were we not higher in the league at the end of feburary than we were at the end of January? Forgot you choose what to look at to show the club in the most positive light, with your super positive outlook on life, and Barnsley fc in general. Like a proper fan.
Couple of quick posts to make you realise things may be equal, or better, than earlier in season http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/disappointing-result-today-against-a-poor-wigan-side.250549/ And Josh Scowen has def improved as the seasons gone on... http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/scowen.250545/
It's possible. We need to start taking our chances in front of goal though. Would be nice to finish on another good run and finish top half.
There's hundreds.. A particular favourite regards Winnall http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/sam-winnall.250551/
I have no wish to get into this circular argument as I am unclear as to whether flogging half the team was a good idea or not I can see arguments both ways and it's not a decision I would like to make. At the same time a straightforward question are we a stronger and better team now or before January. Please avoid prevarication and ifs and ands just a straightforward answer to a straightforward question.
