Worrying stat for us tykes

We have only actually won 14 out of 40 league games all season with or without our 'best' players. Its hardly awe inspiring stuff regardless of which side of the fence you sit on.

 

Do you genuinely believe we are better now than before we sold all our better players? if so it's like having a discussion with Tyrone..

 

I believe we are weaker. I have never said any differently.

I believe we did well to get £10m for the 3 players we sold.

I believe Mowatt will be a good player. And James was an excellent loan to bring in.

My only criticism of January is we didn't get a better striker in. Unfortunately the deal fell through.

I believe as a result of what we did in January we will be in a far better position to recruit in The summer.

I believe we will start next year with a stronger team than we would have done had we not sold the players in January.

I believe we will finish in or around the top 10. I don't believe we would have made the playoffs by not selling Winnall and Hourihane.

All my opinions mind you. People may agree or disagree with all or some of them.

 

No. Where have I said that? That would be fairly daft thing to think, let alone say

It's impossible to say what next season will bring. I have faith in Hecky if he stops and although our recruitment has been patchy recently it is still the right model to follow.

It'll be very difficult we are a million miles away from needing just one striker. Probably 12 -14 players (including loans). Get it right and we will be fine get it wrong and it'll be Rotherham mark 2. Interesting times.

The season has been ok. I think we will finish in the bottom half so not sure I can go with stronger than that. The Hill style second part of the season is a worry and ending the season weaker than you started can never be seen as a positive. Still we have played some good stuff and had some great times its been a fantastic ride if ultimately frustrating.

Wow you're really missing something. I was highlighting that form is CYCLICAL. And pointed to a comparable run to the current one at an earlier point in the season (with Hourihane and Winnall).

No point even conversing with you James. You just don't get things.

Behave. You were not making that point at all. We were 7th at the end of January and we are going to finish the season 5-6 places lower. We are weaker regardless of any cycles unless we're taking cycles of 20 games.

What was that about when you said we were higher in the table at the end of February than at the end of January? Now you've said you think we will finish top ten. Do you ever look at the table?

My point was clear.We won 1 in 11 earlier in the season. Like we currently have done.

I have no idea of our league position. Just wondered if we were higher or lower. Clearly we were lower. Just like we were lower mid November. Perhaps judge a team over a year.

Keep up the PMA though. Going to try being as positive as you going forward.

The answer is we went on a run of 1 win in 11 with Winnall/Bree/Houriane/Morsy so therefore we aren't weaker now

 

I didn't rate Armstrong then. I don't rate him now.

What good does it do reproducing these threads?

All it means is no one will dare express an opinion that could be RIGHT AT THE TIME for fear it may be dragged up months even years later when the situation has changed. Which means we get less and less posts.

Unless all we can post is bland and blind 100% support in which case there's no point in having a free and open discussion forum.
