I get what he's saying, obviously all players would rather play in the Championship than lower league but it reminds me a little bit of when he first arrived. I'd rather he just said he played for the fans, or he wants to win every game etc. But, whatever motivated him, it was a very pleasing win and I'm a very happy Red! Edit: In fairness, the full interview just went up now: http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/player-3664054.aspx and it sounds much better in context.
I dont see anything wrong with what he's said . He can certainly play and it's about time n'all. He's been in the bad books , done detention and 100 lines that says 'don't mess around in class or you will be sent to Peterborough ' . Good luck to him .
Really weird post. Trying to make a mountain out pf a mole hill for some bizarre reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wasn't there, but, by all accounts, he had a really good game in the combo with Scowen in front of Matty James. He could be the missing ingredient next season if he keeps going like this. seems motivated now, which has not always been the case. Keep going, son.
I just read it straight after Marley's tweet of 'that win was for the fans' and Hedges saying something about his debut and praising fans and then straight next to it was Moncur saying that he tried hard because he doesn't want to play in lower leagues. I did edit straight away once the full interview went up saying it looked better in context and I said in the opening post that I understand where he is coming from.
Say what you see its an open forum . Its just words . We've won , happy days . I'd like to see what Hecky wanted to say but stopped short and said 'I'll wait till the end of the season to say it ' . I'll tell you what if he says we're lightweights fighting heavy weights every week I'll both cry and rejoice .
League One seemed more appealing than feighting for the glamour of a Championship place up to January. Eight months into his contract and he`s apparently hed 2 good games, well worth the cash so far. Anyway lets hope yesterday was a turning point for him (I take it he was facing the right way when playing the ball to a fellow red).
My biggest issue is that clearly safety has been the priority of the club for quite a long time and it has shown in our negative formations and hoping for nil nil draws.
I wish the lad well. His dad did him no favours by all accounts at the start of the season. Hecky runs a very tight ship and if he is getting s run out, then it is on merit. If we are going to play him we have to play 1 up though, which may limit his chances. If we buy a Chris O'Grady type striker in the summer, then that might happen more.
Not really. Played 4-5-1 mainly because Watkins has done well out wide, Armstrong has struggled & we didn't replace Winnall
I didn't see anything wrong with what he said and by sounds he had a good game Saturday he was our best player v villa away and has looked good coming off the bench lately. Get off his back and he could be a big player for us next season definitely a talented lad.
