    It was a tough debut for Jack Cowgill for AFC Fylde. He was substituted after 64 minutes when they were losing 0-3 to Nuneaton Town. They went on to lose 1-4. Josh Kay was an unused substitute

    None of our loan players are doing anything at much lower levels. Imagine they'll all be released end of season. Except perhaps Payne. Although hope Josh Kay can get a bit of form till end of season. Thought he looked ok.

    It's generally what happens with loanees if they're in the development squad. We normally have an agreement I think to allow them to play for the U23s as well. Makes sense especially as Kay isn't playing for Fylde atm. It's more of a sign that we have hopes for the player as we want them to be playing. Cowgill & Templeton not playing for U23s or their loan clubs is a clear sign they're on their way out

    Getting to the time of year when we need to look at bringing in new players to the U23 squad with some leaving (Cowgill and Templeton likely amongst others). Hopefully we'll have more coming through from the U18s as well signing professional deals

    Lewin Nyatanga played 90 minutes as Northampton lost 0-3 to Millwall

    Stefan Payne played 90 minutes before being subbed and scored again as Shrewsbury picked up another vital point in their fight against the drop in a 1-1 draw with Walsall. Good to see him getting in some goal scoring form and hopefully he'll be back playing with us next season

    National League:

    Shaun Tuton was not in the squad as Barrow lost 1-4 to Bromley

    Matty Templeton was not in the squad as North Ferriby beat Eastleigh 2-1

    National League North:

    Neither Josh Kay not Jack Cowgill were in the squad as AFC Fylde beat FC Halifax Town 1-0

    National League South:

    Finally Brad Ash played 90 minutes and scored twice as Weston-super-Mare beat Margate 3-1. Well done Brad

    It was the meeting of the Reds loanees today:

    League One:

    Northampton v Shrewsbury AKA Nyatanga v Payne was a bad tempered affair as Northampton ended with 9 men. Lewin played the full match while Stefan played 88 minutes in a 1-1 draw

    National League:

    Shaun Tuton and Matty Templeton's teams also met today but neither were in the squad as Barrow relegated North Ferriby by winning 3-1

    National League North:

    Neither Josh Kay nor Jack Cowgill were in the squad as AFC Fylde drew 1-1 with Bradford Park Avenue

    National League South:

    Brad Ash played 90 minutes but Weston-super-Mare lost 0-3 to St Albans
