If it was financially possible and he wanted to come of course. 3 wingers in Ryan, Adam Hammill and Ryan Hedges, and would be great if Marley Watkins signed as well.

We aren't going to pay over two million for a player or outbid on wages (or come close to) what the sides linked to him for 2 million + can offer.

    Total non starter.

Doesn't stop me from hoping though and you never know. Lloyd Isgrove was going to this club or that club for big money and it didn't happen( yes I've heard the Bristol City story) We signed Adam Hammil from Liverpool after being told we'd no chance.

We've not a chance of getting him on a permanent basis. I'm also still not convinced on him, he's had a handful of decent games but he's one of the most frustrating players we've had this season. He's clearly got alot of talent but his decision making for me is woeful. Having said that he's only a bairn and I'm sure it will come with age.

I'd rather us use one of our own players rather than develope another premier league sides. He'll be pushed further up the ladder now, probably end up at a side like Norwich on loan next year. I don't believe he's quite good enough for that 'next step' but what do I know...

But we have zero chance of him being 'our' player.

Isgrove lacks hunger for first team football so wasn't going to leave Southampton. Kent will be overpriced like most British based young players are who show the slightest bit of potential.

Completely agree, he's had his bad games but also had good games, I reckon he'll be a premiership player in a few years but needs to be more consistent.

He's already had offers for next season at Hudds and Leeds and interest from Bournemouth and Newcastle. They all have far more money than we have.

He's far better than most give him credit for. If he could produce goals/assists more often he'd be playing in the top flight. The rest of his game is bang on. I hope we can get him back somehow. But I reckon someone with more coin will fancy him, sadly.

Connor Mahoney has had another blinder for Blackburn at Forest and would be a great steal for us, should we not be able to secure Kent, which I think unlikely. I you look at the BBC text stats, he made their goal and was behind a good number of their best attacking moves. Winger. If Rovers do go down, he would be a great signing. Opinions?

Our priorities are the spine of the team.

Keeping / replacing Roberts, replacing Hourihane & Scowen (assuming he goes) & getting a strong forward who can work with Bradshaw, or operate as solo striker. Many other positions to think about too, but without a strong spine to the team we'll struggle next season.
I'm sure this is being looked at closely.

I think Payne may be a possible back up, but if we rely on him next season as a target man we'll do a Rotherham.
Let's hope he proves me wrong, although wouldn't be surprised if we don't cash him in to L1.

Kent is out of our budget. We'll maybe get a similar Isgrove / Kent raw talent next season to develop, who will frustrate at first & gradually become the finished article, before going back to the parent club or being sold to a bigger fish.

Yes massively. This is the one I would love us to get done early. He's out of contract and so far hasn't signed the new one. Bit like Marley and Scowen I guess.

Provided we can offer him a decent wage comparable to Blackburn then we should be in a good position.
