We now hear Wendy were after Scowen in January. So that's Winnall, Hourihane and Scowen they were after. That to me is an attempt to KILL - deliberately KILL - Barnsley's competitiveness as a football club in the local area. Something Patrick Cryne and the more laid back and soft touch of our own Barnsley fans to think on.
Well, they're a rival (both in terms of league and local area). However, I don't think it is personal, just that we have good players. Also, so far they have managed to sign Winnall who wanted to leave anyway so this post is a bit over the top.
Sheffield Wednesday are about to fail to get promoted, again. I don't even think they'll do us the courtesy of failing at Wembley this time, I think we'll get to laugh at them on the final day against Fulham instead. Still funny, but I love the Wembley bottle episodes that they and dem blades put on for us. But aye, they'll fail again. And, despite spending more money on strikers in the last 12 months (fees and wages combined) than we've spent on squads over the last decade. The fact that their noisy, moral-less next-door neighbours have just wiped the floor with the worst L1 in living memory and will be joining them in the Championship won't be lost on their fans. I expect implosion once this season passes. Mark my words. Feel free to bump this when Winnall scores the winner at Wembley. The swine.
There's something a bit North Korean about Nudge's post. Perhaps we should have a march past the Town Hall showing our weaponry (Bradshaw) and then set off for Hillsborough. Along the way we will have to lose any decent footballers / fit looking women / skilled workers etc. to vastly superior forces. We'll be Trumped no matter what. But we won't be easily KILLED.
tha reyt there whitey..they will implode ,everytime they loose they want carlos sacked,so if they dont get promoted he will be gone..some of the silly ***** are even asking for mcclaren as manager
It's a question. Much stranger things have happened. As the Wednesday owner is a very very rich business man - is he trying to dominate the local business?
They're always going to have a sneaky bid for our players because as well as being able to pay more, they don't have the hassle of uprooting their families and moving schools etc. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
We killed our own competitiveness by letting the contracts of so many key players run down at the same time. We can't shift the blame to another club (even them) for our own sloppyness.
Whoooooosh ........straight over his head !!! And they wouldn't sign back on because ???...........their contracts had run down. At the same time (SAME TIME) as more or less all the rest of the first team. Repeat - all the rest of the first team. We have directors that I wouldn't let take control of my wheel barrow - let alone a football club. Useless !!!
Who are these directors of which you speak? You do realise that we are owned by just ONE man dont you?
I think you should respectfully consider the fact that Patrick Cryne has a far more serious circumstance to worry about. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
