This has just turned into a load of old blokes trying to be cool with some obscure picks. Everyone knows the last album you bought was Bryan Adams. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I only buy albums on vinyl. Though have been doing so where available for 10 years or so, so built quite the collection
Hard to say as I didnt buy mine, my whole set up was a present for my 30th last year. I do know that the speakers alone were £200 ish I think, not sure on the pre amp or the record player. It depends what you want I guess. I started at a low end all in 1 set up before upgrading last year
There's loads I fancy myself. The Soul Jazz collections are always great. The revamped Quadrophnia. British Sea Power, the Smiths, Small Faces. The newer stuff seems a bit flimsy this time though the Laura Marling live at York should be good.
No it's ok. My mate who is rediscovering vinyl got one I went over the other day and it's pretty ok fine someone getting into it who doesn't want to spend a fortune.
Depends how serious you are. My main was daft expensive but I've got a proper old school one I picked up for 15 quid that I sometimes use. I've heard a few relative cheap ones recently that give quite crisp sound but like everything in life you get what you pay for.
Conan - pm me, mate, re your budget and what kit you've got already. I freelance for a couple of hifi sites/magazines; been messing with hifi for thirty-odd years and buying vinyl since the mid-70s, so have half an idea what I'm on about. Some of the time!!
