First half was a dire affair...

2nd half much more entertaining, but no goals, funny how football works eh?

Anyway the same old story from our point of view, toothless, lacking any real creativity. Defensively we looked solid.
Their player Jota was the best player on the pitch, barmy to think they sent him out on loan.

I just wish Hecky would start our own players in these remaining games, give them some game time without the added pressure.

Pleased to see Moncur get MOTM, well deserved, had a good game.
Pleased Davies made up for his howlers the other night with that quality Penalty save. A point was a fair result, but we just can't seem to shake off our poor home form.

I wouldn't say we were toothless, it could have been 7-4 in the end but we just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net, missed some gilt edged chances today. Agree that we need to start playing own players now!

Disagree, I thought it was an entertaining game, second half was more eventful than first, could've easily have been 7-4 as has already been said. There has been far worse first halves this season than today.

I thought we were terrific. First half they were shocking and we dominated the game. Somehow we were level. Then they came out fighting second half initially. Great penalty save from Davies. Thought we'd struggle to contain them but we got back on top, created plenty of chances but once again couldn't take any. Their keeper had a brilliant game as well, to be fair to him. It's been the story for quite a lot of the season, not just since January. But as it was a dead rubber I'm going to take plenty from it in terms of some great football from us against a side similar to ourselves and very encouraging moving forward.

There have been far worse whole games than today's first half.

How anyone could consider the first half today "dire" is beyond me.

More in terms of atmosphere to be honest. We were on top for the majority of the half, but you wouldn't have thought it. Flat as a pancake, but not much in the way of quality to show.

Some of the football we played today was sublime.
    Really enjoyed the game.
Sadly, Oakwell was like a Morgue for most of the game.
Whatever has happened to the atmospbere?
    It's non existent these days.
    Much prefer the away games.

Which game did you go to? You should have stuck with Barnsley, mate. We had a great game today. Barnsley bossed the first 45 - Brentford couldn't get out of their half. Undone by some slick passing from them in the final third. Great second half. Visitors came more into it, helped by some nervous defending. But Barnsley CREATED so many chances; fantastic CREATIVITY throughout the side. Chance after chance; some misses, some great saves, some woodwork getting in the way, but so CREATIVE!! I'm really encouraged for next season. It's such a shame you missed all the CREATIVITY on display today.

Haha, re read that after and couldn't be arsed editing it! The point being though you also said 'we lacked creativity' which we didn't for a change, it's just our strikers couldn't take the simple chances!

Amazing how many points we continue to drop from a winning position. Lost count of how many it's been and it really has cost us.

I thought it was a good game from two teams with little to lose . We should have won the game but we could easily have lost it .For what it's worth my daughter came along with me today and said our number 10 'George Moncur ' was the best player by far .

Moncur had a great game, did really well recycling the ball, switched the play a fair few times as well, just not a fan of Scowen on the wing.

We forced a few mistakes but failed to capitalise, mainly through Watkins and Bradshaw. Kent had one of his better games, a few mazy runs, particularly the one which led to Moncur's bar rattler.

I thought it was on the most entertaining, open and attacking games of football I've seen this season. Both teams just wanting to play football and attack.

There was little quality in front of goal but the rest of the match was a joy to watch.

Enjoyed today. We were in control first half, and conceded against the run of play.

Second half Brentford started better, but after that we played some lovely stuff.

I wouldn't say we were toothless or lacked creativity today. We made chances and although some were off target, we also worked their keeper.

It's just that you said we were toothless and lacked creativity. We had 25 shots and if we had won I think we would have said it was a great performance. The result was poor but the performance was excellent.
