Seriously you need to have a word with yourselves. Totally disrespectful to this set of players and Hecky.

A team that has not been battered once all season, Vs a team they have already beaten.

Even with the disappointment of losing players, there is just no justification in thinking that we would ever get battered.

Once again we've outplayed a team, and but for a few great saves from their keeper we win comfortably. Brentford are a decent side, they play similar type of football to us. Good open game. Thought Moncur and Kent had great games, and some of our approach play was lovely to watch.

Plenty to be positive about when you look at the players we will be retaining, but again the usual suspects are spouting doom and gloom.

    Cheer the f'ck up.

"Anyone predicting we'd get battered by a decent side after we'd conceded 3 to the team second bottom 4 days ago, not even taking into account our crap home form, needs to have a word with themselves"

I didn't predict we'd get battered but having a go at people that did is totally unreasonable.

No the constant negativity that dominates this board from the same people over and over is unreasonable.

I totally agree on that front.

I don't think making a score prediction when asked to make a score prediction is unreasonable though.

I agree, but if you'd have asked me what certain posters had predicted I'd have swept up. Feels like some folks aren't happy unless they're seeing the worst case scenario

Do you often go around telling people that you disapprove of the way they think?

And that they should think like you do?

    And be cheerful like you?

    Fair enough.

No, not really, I just think they should give the team they "support" a little more credit.

Maybe you should have a word with yourself telling people what to think. After a crap trip to Wigan I thought we would lose against an in form Brentford team. We didn't but would have except for a missed pen.

Have you heard something on Watkins/Scowen?

Not commenting on your thought Police rest of post.

I'm not telling people how to think, I'm just pointing out that there is absolutely no rationale behind predicting a Barnsley hammering, when no side has stuffed us all season.

Did you not like the performances of MacDonald, Davies or Moncur?

Think there were a couple of people who suggested we'd lose 3 - 0 or similar, perhaps a little disingenuous but no more. The team have had a good season considering. However I think the business has yet again given cause for concern, and if this was consistently ignored then there'd be little hope of change.

    I see what you mean.

Something to hold onto with Moncur. Hope he keeps listening, learning and working. He is a threat going forward and put some graft in but has work to do defensively.

MacDonald strong and dominant. Perhaps unlucky for pen. Need to see it again.

Davies good save for pen. Nearly cost us one not long after. Hope he learns from his mistakes.

Only another 15 players needed in addition to Bradshaw and Yiadom.

Our home form and our form more generally over the last 3 months has been relegation form. No one has stuffed us other than Huddersfield (despite the score) but all teams get stuffed occasionally. Today could have been that day. It wasn't. But it certainly could have been.

And Mowatt, and Hammill...... I was pointing out the positives, but I do apologise, let's get back to gloom before the season is even over.

Bit touchy aren't you. Make it 13 then.

I've not mentioned any gloom. Was quite pleased today.

That was you in your initial post.

    You're getting worse than Hemsworth

Not touchy at all. I'm happy as larry. I've seen a good game of football, between two teams that play the right way. It's what I was hoping for this time last year when we started to get a sniff of the play offs.

I didn't make a prediction, even privately to myself today however, I don't think critising people based on theirs is very fair. People put their predictions here inside a thread dedicated to that for a laugh but one thing you don't expect is to be pulled up on it later. Everyone writes their prediction before the game and then it's forgot about. Some people get it right, some people are completely and utterly wrong but it doesn't matter, you just have another go again next time. If you know that it might be used against you, people are not going to join in, or at least not put true predictions and then what is the point in that?
