in the last minute of a football match a player is injured. A few seconds later the fourth official indicates a minimum of 4 minutes added time. At 92 minutes and 45 seconds the game is restarted , just after the restart a substitution is made which adds a further 30 seconds to the time to be played. At what time does the game finish. I got it wrong by my calculations it should be at least 97 minutes and 15 seconds but the ref who is always right correctly calculated 95 minutes.

Not that we would have scored but it's just wrong.

As usual the ref was poor today which. I suppose matched the game. Both bookings for fouls were bad decisions but there were several challenges that should have had a card.

The standard of refs this season has been about the worst I can ever remember.

Yes, yet another to toss on to the downright incompetent pile. Something has to be done about this, but (of course) nothing will be.

a good idea would be to have a timekeeper as in Rugby Union... he could then stop the clock each time the game goes dead and then restart it when it goes live again... this would make sure of 90 minutes no more no less.... and an end to the age old "Fergie Time" scenario
They have official time keepers in most of the big time sports so when will Football come out of the dark ages... its only very recently that goal line technology has been started to be brought in... Tennis, Rugby, cricket,NFL, Ice hockey, athletics, horse racing etc etc etc etc has used computer aided techno and also video reffing for many may years... with the amount of monies at stake its time soccer took a look and took on such. Even a simple thing like four linesmen... how can one in each half see what is happening on the opposite side of the pitch and if not for then make the two runthe whole touchline on each side and not just halfway cripes the single Ref has to cover the whole pitch so why cannot those two run the whole length of the line on each side.. Look at the amount of line officials in tennis and various other sports. Again the amounts of money at stake in the higher levels of the various sports is staggering its time it was judged accordingly
