Newcastle will be up for making a good go at the title now... and at our expense.

In the same way Bristol got a good hiding because Brighton were right up for winning the title tonight?

I'm not sure football works in that way. Hecky needs to get the lads up for it. Regardless of how Newcastle approach it.

I reckon Brighton maybe went into it with a "just turn up " attitude, and now its gonna give us a shafting on the last day.

Aye ok. So Brighton didn't care. But Newcastle will. Nothing like positive logic.

I'm so happy you felt the need to make a second thread saying the exact same thing.

Not so sure. Pressure on Newcastle just like it was on Brighton today. I've no idea what will happen on Sunday it might well have been worse if Newcastle were relaxed with nothing to play for

Promotion was the goal for Newcastle. That's secured. When their fate was sealed last year they thumped Tottenham 5-1 on the last day. I reckon they'll go for the title, but will be relaxed enough to open up. We make too many mistakes in defence at the moment. We could ship a few next Sunday. Meanwhile, Brighton have had the odd slip away from home, and you'd imagine Brucey would want to reclaim a bit of pride to go into next season with. It's an interesting scenario - especially if Toon win you a bit more than Brighton do!
