Before the start of the season they had an offer for 25% off 2017/18 season ticket price if they failed to reach the playoffs. This offer increased to 50% off if they sold more than 15,000. They supposedly sold 18,000 under that deal so it's going to cost em a good £3-4m in lost revenue. You got to laugh at Leeds lol
I wonder how many of their fans are secretly relieved? If they weren't going to win them then they may aswell get their ST half price.
Remember reading about this and think they only sold 14,500. I remember 'cos I thought it put our 8,500 in a good light bearing in mind the respective catchment populations! http://the72.co.uk/79650/leeds-united-extend-25-season-ticket-refund-says-journalist/ Expected to cost them about £1.3m (hopefully!)
Your right, they only sold 14,500 under the scheme. Cellino must use the same method of counting as he does adding up his tax returns. Leeds fan at work reckoned they had 18,000 season ticket holders. Exaggerated like their away following, Leeds would have sold more.
Well you can be sure it was less than 15000 - it really was honest. Also 7th place is almost the playoffs so there will be no need to refund anyway
Just a reminder on the table: 1st: Not Leeds 2nd: Not Leeds 3rd: Not Leeds 4th: Not Leeds 5th: Not Leeds 6th: Not Leeds
Thought they were nailed on for top 6 after I saw them against us a few weeks ago. How amusing that they've managed to mess it up. I fancy Fulham to go up. Best side I've seen this season.
