When we flogged all our best players and you get gobbing off that we had a better team after and that you thought we would reach the play offs I wanted to have a 20 quid bet ( for charity) you said no but if we didn't reach the play offs you would owe me a pint. I'd find the thread but I can't be arsed.

Some of your points seem fair enough. Do you really think the squad minus all loanees and Watkins/Scowen would be anything other than nailed on relegation certainties?

Of course we can rebuild and regroup and with Hecky in charge I have confidence in his ability to do so but it'll be a massive job ( with comparatively nothing to do it with.

The squad is definitely significantly weaker than the start of last season or the one that played in the play off final. Things can change but as we are

We'll lose Roberts too! No, in that case we'd have no hope. The point I made is that the squad as it is now would do ok (ish).

I did say that we would though have to replace a few as well as bring in more where we have obvious gaps.

If we could keep any of the three mentioned, it would be as good as any new signing we could make.

But assuming we lose all three, then they all must be replaced. We also need a couple of striking options plus a bit more.

But we have some lined up, and we will get good loanees in too. The big clubs will love to get their kids in at our club, we play decent stuff and at championship level, they'll potentially play every week and most importantly we have a solid reputation for adding value to players.

We might not set the division by storm but I think we might do better than some on here think. Yes we need to recruit, but I thought we needed to recruit better last year than we did and we've finished higher than most thought we could or would.

I wish I'd written that line, Tyrone. Truly from the pen of the new Bard.

I shall spend the rest of the day studying it.

    I'm not. I hope we don't.

My point is that even if we do it isn't doom and gloom

It's my belief that the strategy had worked well so far exceptiona well.. We are now entering the next phase we nerd to ensure that the next tranche of recruitment is as good as the last. We've proved to know the bargin. Basement. No let's shop on the shelf above

Soz Tyrone. That offering was more Allo Allo.

"nerd to ensure" followed by "tranche" was classic Rene.

Still it was certainly a challenging read.

    Do you do Pam Ayres?

Tyrone, I've taught loads of dyslexic kids from age 5-11 - none of them were as bad at full stops as you. Your writing also shows none of the typical signs of dsylexia, I mean, it might if you wrote a proper sentence but everything is so wrong it makes no difference at this point.
