Sorry if already posted but it's the first time I heard of this. Well done BFC on this one. https://www.theguardian.com/society...ullah-refugee-football-asylum-seeker-barnsley
**** me. Doesn't it make you proud to be from this town. People that think like this have no place in this town, country or world. A Huge well done to BFC though for what they did, giving hope to those who need it most.
Unfortunately there are racist morons everywhere, not just in Barnsley. They are just scum who couldn't debate real immigration issues if their meaningless existences depended on it. Well done BFC, a genuinely nice gesture.
This is brilliant stuff, thanks to the OP for sharing. Doing the right thing sends out such a strong message. Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
So basically it's male economic migrants and benefits shoppers again, not refugees, he admits they all came from Calais so how are they refugees? They've come from a safe country and have no doubt been through several other safe countries as well. The left and the media deliberately misuse the word refugee.
Look up refugee in a dictionary ********. It's someone who leaves their country because it's unsafe and then claims asylum when they get to a safe country. It's not someone who travels through 5 safe countries to get to the UK because you think you'll get more benefits there and then when you get leave to stay you go back on holiday to the place you supposedly fled in fear for your life. They came here from France and should be sent back to France which is a safe country. Economic migrants are exploiting the system. It's a migrant football team not a refugee football team, even the BBC know the difference, as does the Guardian but they deliberately use the wrong term.
Yeah. Damn these humans. Fleeing countries that we've bombed to come here and play football and rake in £30. Disgraceful of BFC to welcome them.
Wonderful article about wonderful people and special mention to our own Gloria for being spotted on his usual drives round town and getting into the article
You're still wrong and I'm right. And on the same topic why has Europe got a duty to take in Syrian "refugees" when rich Muslims countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar won't take them in? Even though they'd be closer to home and would be in a country with the same culture and religion? Instead you have hundreds of migrants molesting women and then saying they didn't know it was wrong because of cultural differences. Too many do-gooders and suckers in this country and on this board.
Europe doesn't have a duty, it does so because it's people have decent morals. Syrians avoid SA and Qatar because they're involved in it and supply most of Isis and Al-Qaida's weapons. Well, after buying them from BAE, that is. People leaving Syria are kind of aware of that, as well as that there are differing varieties of Islam who disagree with them culturally there too (so it's no different to Europe). Also, Lebanon (the size of Cornwall), has as many refugees as Germany. Jordan (about the size of Slovakia), has twice as many. They're a bit full. Both are next door to Syria. Half of Syria's population has been displaced since 2008. I think they count as refugees. It doesn't really matter if they stay at the first country or not. If 1 in 2 people who lived there 10 years ago have left, even if a proportion of those are exploiting the civil war for financial gain, that's a massive statistic. People just don't do that without significant stimulus. Try to show some empathy, it's possibly the worst civil war the world has known. No doubt you'll tell me about a worse one, but Jesus it's still a pretty **** situation.
Great article. If you follow one of the links this first came to light in 2015. I love to see BFC doing great things in the community, Shame on those, especially in this thread who choose to spout drivel about migrants and refugees. Save it for your narrow minded simplistic ukip/edl friends. The real question we need to ask ourselves is of course....."can any of them play left back??"
