The box office are looking again at the way they allocate tickets for future games, after evidence of stub swapping during the Newcastle sales. They sold over1000 for the first category of sales, yet less than 700 actually qualified on paper.
Surely if/when the box office realise it's 2017, they will have a computer system which will tell them who is/isn't in the right category to buy a ticket.
misuse your allocation should be punished, its prob happened a few times this season for games with low allocation box office need to clamp down more and this just shows where the weakness is
The fly in the ointment is the anonymous people who have stubs bought from the turnstiles on the day. That made it possible for ANY supporter with say 18 stubs, to share them with two otherwise ineligible ST holders for this particular game.
They don't even need to go that far. The rule should be, the only tickets that can be used are those showing on your account.
It's a tough one isn't it. Now I had no problems with me doing 18 competitive away games but I only bought 12/13 I think of them through my account. Now again this wasn't a problem. Saying that how many people on here keep ticket stubs, not me for certain. I was a little bit worried I think the word is when I first read the 6 away stubs before checking my account.
That'll be good when German Groundhopper Hans Jurgen Ottovordemgentschenfelde turns up to visit Oakwell.
May be wrong but I'm pretty sure the box office allowed people to exchange tickets between accounts. So seems odd they would clamp down on this. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
i understand, but by doing that you encourage people to assign tickets to others. Family member or not. So seems odd they would look into people exchanging stubs. They cant encourage something and then question people for doing it. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
Be about right, apart from villa and burton the other away games I've been to I paid on the gate. A lot of folk I know who go away do the same.
It's fairly obvious that ticket priority is intended for those who have ATTENDED enough games, not those who know someone else that has done so and can spare their stubs.
Not that I would do so but I have loads and bought them so could presumably do what I want with them. Sent from my iPad using Barnsley FC BBS Fans Forum
It's different. Wolves away. It was a Tuesday night game. Still kick myself about not going. Cardiff away, Week before Christmas. couldn't bare the trip. 10 hours on a coach in a day. But I had in the back of my mind I went to the old stadium. It might sound strange to 99% but the 1% will understand. I want to visit all grounds but mostly I want to visit all the clubs i can following bfc. Reading. Been to that stadium. Long journey a lot of games to come up. qpr, journey again. Tuesday night been before many times. same for Norwich. same again for Bristol.
