Kos, Greece. Same hotel as last year where the Greek owner saw my son in his Barnsley shirt and asked if 'Super Jonny Hendrie' still played for us!!! The man had a great footballing knowledge, just that it was 20 years out of date.
Walk from West Burton in the Dales to White Horse at Kilburn, via Masham and Thirsk. Then another walk from Welton near Brough, Humberside to Dodworth, on the Trans Pennine Trail via Goole, Selby and Donny. Both pub to pub, but with a tent on my back for emergencies. Luxury.
Porec in Croatia again. Same as last year. Last Week in June. Love the place - did want to consider somewhere different this year but the missus convinced me to do Croatia again.
Cape Verdi first 2 weeks in August - then last week in August till the end of September in daughters caravan in Ingermells or whatever they call it near Skegness. I'll be missing a few matches at the beginning of next season.
Dubrovnik rocks. Though the beaches are quite stony. If you get the chance hire a car and go to Montenegro. Though remember to take euros with you as none of the cash machines work there. Trpanj is a beautiful drive up the Dalmatian coast, and has some incredible fish restaurants.
nice ... was in Perth in Jan / Feb go to Northbridge for food / drinks, rather than the commercial end of Perth, if you are going to the WACA
no holiday for me this year...... I sold my business back in late December - and have been out of work ever since!! BUT I start my new job on the 23rd - store manager for a well known frozen food company. So I suppose I am holiday-ing in Iceland!!!!
My youngest lad returned from there yesterday after they'd been on his mates batchelor night. Said it's a brilliant place.
John? Merde Tete is called ******* John? I always had him down for a Vasily or something. Half of my brain knows he's English the other half still thinks he should have a Russian name (or at least french)
Was there for a few days last year. Angkor Wat is amazing, but stick to vegetarian food. If you really have to eat meat, get it from a street vendor with a large queue and therefore quick turnover and visible preparation. We ate meat once in Cambodia and got sick. Others reported the same. Having said that after a bag of fried crickets I was absolutely fine.
To be fair his family do have some sexy Russian names. Malcomovich lets the side down a bit though. Sent from my iPad using Barnsley FC BBS Fan Forum mobile app
Cambodia is the best place I've ever been to and not only cos I got high with my taxi driving friend and he let me fire his Kalashnikov. I rejected the opportunity to blow a car up with some left over anti tank weapons I kinda regret that now. Great place. Fantastic people. Angkor is the best place I've ever been.
