So how is spending x amount doing it up for there to be empty seats the majority of the time going to help that?
I wasn't trying to be silly but thanks anyway . 15000 home seats is plenty, as you say we had 13000 home fans for our biggest games of the season . Why would you want an extra 2000 empty seats on top of the 2000 empty seats we already have ? Makes no sense to me .
He won't answer Like a lot of other people he's excellent at spending other people's money without giving a seconds thought. However ask for rounded analysis you get nothing. He's mate will be along soon
Bournemouth. Two seasons in the Premier League and they still only have a 11,464 capacity. That has got to be severely hampering them from a business point of view. They have plans for a new stand and filling in two of the corners, but ground redevelopment is a long process. Oakwell's capacity needs to cover all eventualities.
What eventualities my they be ? I remember Dave Whelan saying a few years ago when Wigan were in the premier league that the money from attendances was almost irrelevant compared to the money from sky etc and that they were thinking of not charging an entrance fee .
We'd put Leeds, Wednesday, Sunderland, Boro, whoever wants it in there and charge them £36. Or do you suggest leaving it unused and empty for eternity. Do you consider ever penny of income brought in by BFC to be Patrick Cryne's own money?
Pretty sure it's not a Leitch stand, but remaining Leitch stands are listed buildings. That's why Arsenal couldn't knock down Highbury, as both sides were listed. I'm pretty sure Craven Cottage's main stand is listed.
Of course I would If the investment will pay for itself within a reasonable time with the extra revenue it generates
Probably because they've got plenty of brass and they can afford it . The problem is that we're going to end up with a lop sided stadium because the east and North stand are too big capacity wise .
It's not a question of age but it takes into account historical and architectural importance. The West Stand might bring back memories of yesteryear for a few of us old gits, but that won't make it listed.
He won't answer he breakeven point questions though so we can't we don't know if it would generate extra revenue
