Rejected a new contract at Scunthorpe and has 10 clubs after him http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/05/13/por-dawson-turns-down-new-deal/page/1/
Unbelievable! Don't recall too many with less ability in nigh on 50 years of watching. I'm obviously missing something if he generates such interest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
10 clubs. Including a sand wedge, 6 iron and short putter. Sent from the darkest recesses of a poisoned mind.
He wasn't that bad. Decent grafter of a midfielder, problem was that there was never that player with a bit of class next to him. Perkins did the grafting side better than him so he ended up looking even worse. Good league one player I think, nothing more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He never let us down when he played for us unlike some of the other sacks that played alongside him in midfield. What he lacked in ability he made up for in effort.
Effort can never make up for ability in professional sport especially when people are paying good money to watch it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I agree but his game wasn't about flair it was about effort and hard work. He did the work while our so called creative players were supposed do their bit. The problem was the likes of Mellis did the sum total of f*** all which made Dawson look worse than he was.
League 1 is probably his level. A lot of effort and hassling the opposition but not a great deal on the ball. I imagine if partnered with a decent ball playing cm he wouldn't look half as bad, I wonder what he'd have looked like say partnering Hourihane
Not surprised, he's a good league one player who's captained both Orient & Scunthorpe to strong finishes in that league
This! There were a few games I recall that he grabbed by the scruff of the neck and earned us the odd point or 3. Mainly the scrappy games of course, and there were a few moments of quality actually, his goal against Ipswich at home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
