Not for a manager it's not. The first few weeks of summer are a write off, all the players are on their jollys, everything is left in the hands of the agents & people at the clubs dealing with the transfers. Hecky will have done all his scouting throughout the season, the players he wants plus back ups in case our first targets don't come off will have been identified. If anything needs clarifying he's only a phone call away. He'll then come back into the club probably a fortnight before the players return for pre-season.
I reckon there'll be signings this week. Mallan & McLaughlin hopefully. I also believe there'll be another to come once the league 2 play offs are over
Aren't rice crispies brilliant. I'm Not a fan of corn flakes. Shreddies are boring. Weetabix just have to be eaten quickly or they go soft. Coco pops make the milk chocolatey. Sugar puffs make your wee smell.
Prime example of someone that doesn't work and mummy and daddy puts everything on a plate for him. Here's a tip Phil, get a job and live in the real world let's see how long you can go without taking a well earned rest Sent from my X5pro using Tapatalk
I've mentioned before, that a family member is a professional in the football league. According to him, virtually every single manager, coach, team mate, chairman and tea lady goes on holiday for at least a week when the season ends. Suppose this is why transfer business is minimal at this time of the year. Also, although it might be classed as name calling, but my T'old Grandad had a bit of a saying they went "The only person that would begrudge a hard working man(or woman)a holiday with his family, is the person who has never been a hard working man(or woman)!"
It's four months since Linton Brown left though. Four months without a CEO - do you think that is a good way to operate?
Not at this stage of the season it isn't. Especially when our bid for Stevie Mallan went to the wrong place (a fans forum) which is a tad embarrassing.
Embarrassing yes, but to be fair the difference was .com v co.uk I'm sure we've all sent more embarrassing emails to the wrong address! And I think a CEO wouldn't have made much difference on that score, as I'd imagine it's the club secretary that sends emails.!
Four months without a CEO, how long have we been without an effective board of directors, or is it a case its Cryne's club, Cryne's money
We're talking about professional football clubs getting mistaken mate. It shouldn't be happening with the amount of times they do it every summer and January.
I'm expecting summat from Amazon couple if vinyl lps and a book. Not sure how that will help our recruitment though.
He does, but I just don't know if we should be bringing people's personal lives/situations into debates - no matter how much that poster may irritate.
The point I was making to him is that he doesn't live in the real world, unlike the rest of us Sent from my X5pro using Tapatalk
