apparently the piggies are all convinced that Conor hasn't settled and might be tempted back to Yorkshire. Obviously he tweeted he'd be a Barnsley fan forever. Hope he'd come back to us over them.
Mental these threads, once they are out of our wage structure that's it they will never return unless it's either Oakwell or a care home.
Steve Bruce has to sell to buy. If the moron has decided that Lansbury is the better of the two he may well sell. He needs immediate success though otherwise imagine the mad doctor will pull the trigger. However Conor Hourihane with 3 years or whatever on his contract, and £20k a week wages, is well out of our price range. As much as we all love CH think it's time to accept he's gone for good. The King is gone. Long live George Moncur and Stevie Mallan etc!
You are right, but I would love to know what Adam's wage graph looked like - going to the prem and back again under the age of 30.
Hate to say it but more chance of him going leeds on Wednesday. Only chance he will come back here is if his career goes downhill he goes off rails and ends up making a adam hammill style return.
Nowt like Winnalls or Hourihane,18k & 27k. Hammill was also here when we were paying Moore 8k a week.
We'd have to get promoted to the premiership with Villa staying in the championship for us to have any chance. We supposedly playing hardball with Scowen for a bit more cash hence why he's not done a farewell statement like Marley did, so we aren't going to have any chance of Conor coming back on his wages.
Brother -in- law ( Sunderland fan) lives in Walsall and reads the local papers. Apparently Conor has established himself as one of the Villas favourites and can be seen doing work in the community. Don't believe Bruce has published his retained list yet but as OCC has said in #6 speculation is he's got to sell to raise funds for any new signings he wants to make. Apparently the local papers are saying they are probably going to offload Carles Gil, Jordan Veretout, Tommy Elphick, Aaron Tshibola and Micah Richards plus around five other fringe players. Sadly for us it looks certain that Conor will still be with them next season.
Aww isnt that a shame that Aston Villa must sell first, and unless they do they cant have any more money on top of the near £100 million they have already spent!! Lets have a whip round for them.
