Absolutely shocking PR, thick decision and very disrespectful to our fans we didn't fight for after they got attacked last year by those thugs. It needs deleting.
Just no need for it. I doubt all the other Championship clubs posted saying well done to them so makes no sense for us to anyway, even without taking into account the actions of their fans last season.
I posted it and deleted it. We've congratulated other clubs previously or wished them well, I think it's friendly of us to do so. And it's the club we were congratulating. Not a section of their fanbase. I (wrongly) assumed our fans would see beyond that element but clearly not, so it was deleted. The pitch invasion merely added to my stupid decision to tweet. Can't say anything else beyond that. My bad.
Honest mistake. Just remember though that whilst trying to separate club from fans you have to remember that their CLUB sells merchandise promoting their behaviour, their club defended their fans and their club refused to apologise. As I said though honest mistake
Well you were wrong to so delete. We should congratulate the winning team for the performance on the pitch. The club should show a stiff upper lip and a bit of class.
Fair play. They don't behave like other clubs so shouldn't be treated like them. It is a "section" of their fans, true, but not only do they not criticise it they almost encourage it - see Harris excusing a pitch invasion at the national stadium.
Totally disagree. But then coins, bottles and cans thrown at you whilst innocently watching a game of bloody football can influence these things.
Honest of you to admit it Whitey. I've been loving the bantz from that account this season and suspected some of it was probably your doing. I'm surprised you misjudged the mood so badly with this one though.
What's the bigger picture? There is nowt to gain from being "nice" to that club. At all. It's time the FA and the FL grew a pair and demoted them.
