He is an ambitious lad and he has seen the players that Barnsley have brought through or developed. He wants to improve and he thinks BFC is the ideal place for him at this stage in his career. There is no point him going to a club to play in the reserves or to a club that doesn't play a system that suits his strengths. Plus he has had to listen to me for the last 2 years.
Has he not been first team choice this past season? And do you reckon he'd be good enough already to be an automatic starter for us? Plus what's your fee if he signs up for us?
He had a knee operation earlier in the year. Hearts then eased him back to full fitness which meant limited appearances. He then refused to sign a new contract and Hearts started to treat him like a second class citizen. However their form since Cathro took charge is shocking and so they then realised that they needed to start giving him game-time again. No fee for me, just want the best prospects to sign for the reds.
It's a refreshing change to get summat so informative about a prospective player. Do you reckon he's up to being in our starting 11 next season? He'll know that Prince is dead. Perhaps he could pay his respects and leave Minnesota to the Vikings.
I do think he's up to it. He has great record of scoring goals against Hibs so turns it on in the big games. Big players play in big games, or that's what the experts say. He also scored against Celtic last season and is a regular at Scotland U21 level. The championship will be a step-up but he has the right attitude and with Hecky's guidance would/could have been a great addition to our first team squad. Plus don't really want him taking my daughter off to the States just yet...
From a footballing perspective, going to the USA must be almost last chance saloon. They can probably pay more than us but I'd imagine the standard is worse than Scotland
Didn't Andrew Driver bail it to the US, who was gonna be the next big thing and was also at Hearts, and then soon regret his move?
