Yeah can really see him keeping arron mooy out of the team....not, If he wants to kick a ball he won't go there
Maybe not but he would give Jonathan Hogg a run for his money... Mooy is on loan so he may not be back next year, plenty of interest in him..
That would be a strange move but I suppose he'd be a very low cost back up player with pace and plenty of time to progress as a player. I really think we're underestimating Josh Scowen at the moment. He has attributes no ither player at the club has and I think we'll miss him greatly next season. The midfield looks very static without his energy and box-to-box style. I see him at a top 10 Championship club, perhaps not as a regular but still an important part.
I think they will be going back in for mooy. They are already rumours of Huddersfield bidding 8 million for him dean hoyle is a very rich self made man and has always said he wold splash the cash if town got to the big time I think mooy will become permenent. Scowern would be a good back up but can't see him playing an awful lot in the premiership just my opinion.
It's all about opinions - here's mine. I don't think we've realised the half of how good Josh Scowen is. Like Hourihane, I firmly believe that the higher up he goes, the better he'll look. His ability to position himself vis a vis the ball and his opponent is a very rare quality. His box to box ability is a highly sought-after attribute, and he knows where the goal is. Whereas Marley (who is as honest as the day is long) will reach a plateau with Norwich, I really believe that Huddersfield, or any next quality club will be but a stepping stone for Josh. Bournemouth would be a good move en route to better things. We are lucky to have had his services, and I wish him well. He is a quality player.
Problem being, Man City want £10million for Mooy allegedly, so Scowen is a much more cost effective alternative. Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk
Josh has established himself as a Championship player and therefore can command Championship wages. We don't offer what other clubs do, he's a free agent, good luck to him. Whether he can play premier league standard who knows but would any of us turn down a multiple salary increase and the chance to test yourself at the highest level?
I just have this feeling that he might be back with us next season. I don't think the offers are flooding in for him as they were for Marley, Conor and the like. Millwall maybe? Blunts? Bolton? Wigan? it might end up that our offer was the best he has to look at.
They'll be getting those Recaro subs seats, probably heated now they've got promotion so he'll be warm.
Josh was one of the young lads I'd never heard of when we signed him, but who turned out to be a real bargain and a terrific little player, in my opinion. I wish him well and thank him for his contribution to our recent successes.
We got £5 million for going up and signed Hristov for £1.5 million unknown and unproven in England. They've got £170 million for going up, £10 million for him is a bargain, stand out midfielder of the championship.
Aaron Mooy is not worth £10 million. Just because Hudderfield may pay it, doesn't mean he's worth it. Just like David De Gea isn't worth £60 million.
Scowen has been the best player at the club for a good while in my opinion, good luck to the lad and I've still fingers crossed he'll sign back with us but I doubt it.
