Bristol sign injury prone journeyman, Barnsley sign young promising defender from Premiership club.

Is one way of looking at it.

    I'm sure the likes of:

    Ivan Lucic - Bayern Munich
    Hordur Magnusson - Juventus
    Taylor Moore - Lens
    Bailey Wright - Preston
    Jens Hegeler - Hertha
    Callum O'Dowda - Oxford
    Jamie Paterson - Forest
    Fabian Geifer - Schalke
    Gary O'Neil - Norwich
    Matty Taylor - Rovers
    Gustav Engvall - Göteborg

Were all on Barnsleys Wikipedia page. Get a grip, we're yet to sign one player from Barnsley. Josh Brownhill was on loan, yes, but he was brought into Barnsley by Johnson anyway.

It's a small pool there's bound to be cross over.

What's your thoughts on the coming season? Optimism or pessimism?

Hopefully they'll get relegated and their chairman continues to stand by the moronic dwarf.

How you think LJ will do this season ? Who's he replacing Abrahams with? Winnall ?

Just having a bit of fun, don't think you really needed to list all your recent signings to prove that Johnson doesn't actually just type "Barnsley FC players" into google. Still seems to be linked with a lot of former players though (Isgrove, Brownhill, Janko. Watkins, Scowen....). Actually this seems like too much of a coincidence. Just admit it, he's definitely still got the password to the spreadsheet.

And what a wonderful job he's done frittering millions to escape relegation in the final weeks. Must be chomping at the bit for the new season to start, what a goalfest that will be without Tammy Abraham.

Brizz - it was an interesting day at Bristol when you beat us.

We parked at the cricket ground and walked round with a Bristol fan who was highly critical of Johnson.

Our fans were ill advised to give him so much stick during the game, as it almost always comes back to bite us, and boy did he enjoy it at the end.

We all know that bragging rights are short lived, and I joked with some of your fans that staying up meant he was there again next season, and they jokingly said "thanks for reminding us"

A lot of your fans bad feeling towards him seemed to be forgotten in excitement of a decent win, and staying up.

It's ok him fist punching in front of us, but we're not the ones that put banners up around Bristol demanding his sacking.

No! LJ has him in to replace Tammy Abraham as a striker because he scored once for us and is about the same height. Genius.

Seriously dependant on this summer. If we take the same approach as last summer, relegation as it was our early season form that helped us survive last season. However, it's widely rumoured that Lansdown is willing to spend big on quality rather than quantity this summer.

So who knows. I'd be happy with a nothing season in which we finish 13/12th. Hopefully a strong and stable season, however I fear another strong and stable collapse.

I hope they get rid of the poisoned dwarf myself. I have a soft spot for Bristol myself. Without him there I would wish them well.
