Nothing beats an away day first game of the season. And Bristol is a great city to drink in, proper day out on the cards provided I've no last minute holidays.
What price are you getting? I couldn't get anything less than £77.90 return from Wakefield (direct train each way). And then realised it was pointless me looking as I'm on holiday anyway. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Personally I think it's a great. Fixture to be playing one of the weaker teams in the division A excellent opportunity to get three points and build up a healthy goal difference
It's five years since we won our opening league game of the season (1-0 at home to Middlesbrough, with a Craig Davies goal), so surely we're due another one? This is my fiftieth season of watching Barnsley and in all that time we've only won twice away from home at the start of the campaign (1-0 at Brentford in 1976/77, thanks to a first half goal from Alistair Millar & 2-1 at West Bromwich Albion in 1996/97, with Clint Marcelle and Andy Liddell getting our goals).
About 20 miles further but you can drop on a train to London 20-30£ return , and Bristol is around 70-80£
From a purely selfish point of view it's a long old trip there and back in a day but the media facilities at Ashton Gate are first class. Winnable game as well. Those long Tuesday night aways at Cardiff, Reading and Ipswich are a joke. Can't wait for them.
Good old Terry fuckwitt. Gets asked straight question completely dodges it and then makes a ridiculous statement
I saw a recent survey, can't remember where and apparently, Bristol is one of the most expensive cities in the UK to live. Met some Bristolians on holiday in Greece two weeks ago and they did complain about high prices. They were Bristol City fans. I really enjoyed talking about Lee Johnson with them over some ice cold Mythos Beers ! Lol !
You made a statement Tommy. Do you know the difference between a statement and a question? You don't even know why me and SuperTyke are calling you Tommy, do you?
