    As anyone got an update on the West Stand work being done? I was at Oakwell about a month ago and the 2 end panels had been removed. Heard nothing since.

    I had a look today and they are still putting in new Galvanized framework for the cladding. I don't know why it is taking so long. Hopefully the whole West Stand will then be painted to match the rest of the ground. Grove St,the exterior wall and the Queens road car park,are all looking "tired".

    Whitey set up a rust cam , so we can watch metal decay in front ov our eyes , sat in comfort of our own homes . I walked past on Sunday morning and those signs wi old admiral logo painted out still up . Take em down , the look a right eyesore

    I bet you a quid that the east stand will look just the same inside as it has for the last umpteen years.
    BUT... what were they trying to build in the centre of the concourse at the end of last season? Several rows of breeze blocks in a sort of "wall" shape. I felt slightly excited studying it.

    I think a little bit of money would go a long way to sprucing up the concourses. Big lick of paint in the East Stand would be welcome. More artworks of players all over the walls would be good (real legends though,not Cywka and Noble-Lazarus...)

    The amount of money we've got from transfers etc over the last year or so, dropping £50k on a big paint job is doable

    I was down there yesterday and 3 vans were there and they've out a new metal structure on the Ponty end of the west so imagine they'll repanel that next.
