Ha. I think I was saying a while back that I've been to a couple of clubnights with italo-disco sets over the last few years and it went down a treat when I suggested it to the djs. We might have reached the point where it's so far out of date that it's come back around again...
I would just have blink if I could get away with it. AVA do have a few tracks that would suit entrance music though. I'll have a look.
In fact scrap that, go for 30 Seconds to Mars - Pyres of Varanasi Perfect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Who was the referendum you lot in the office . I would have voted to get rid of Chelsea dagger and one step beyond, fecking terrible. I remember Fev having crazy horses ffs lol I think goal music is ok, but gotta be the right music and summat original.
now that does get my vote totally... very rousing inspirational music and played by lads of our own... if its put to a vote this is the one for me
@YTBFC forget any preconception about group / title. Listen to first minute of this with eyes closed and imagine crowd building up as teams walk out. Or even the obligatory line up / handshakes. Turn it up loud, close eyes and listen. Good lad Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Also pinching from some of the greatest entrance music providers in history the WWF I give you the Legion Of Doom my all time favourite entrance music Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In fact having listened to it on loop for the past 20 minutes that's the one ️ no more debate needed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Am I alone in thinking that the problem that kills the atmosphere isn't that we are playing the wrong song it's simply that we are timing it so badly that any atmosphere is killed. I'm not sure why in recent years there has been an insistence by the club to try to start the countdown and build the atmosphere about 15 minutes before the players emerge because all it results in is a flat stadium by the time it finally happens. We seem to have a long drawn out video that takes over the stadium but achieves nothing. Not because the video is crap but because it is played on a tiny screen with the volume cranked up too loud for the screen size. It's played every match but each and every time it seems extremely random and out of the blue. Songs are playing normally and then suddenly you hear avoided talking in the background, quite a few seconds of confusion go by then you look up at the scoreboard, squint for a while and realise that the voice you can hear sort of matches up to the tiny video maybe? It's hard to tell? Then we get timerider. A great song which gets people clapping along. Well for the first two minutes anyway then they get bored because they realise it doesn't mean the players are coming out it is just played sort of randomly when nothing is happening. The fans get bored and the atmosphere dies. Now we have a silent stadium and you gaze over at the tunnel which is so far away from the fans in a closed off area of the ground that u can almost forget anybody is due to come out of it. After a while you see a line of players slowly trudging out of the tunnel with a dirge played in the background whilst the stadium who are now completely devoid of any atmosphere stand and politely clap. It isn't anything new it's been going like this for years so it isn't a criticism of anybody currently in charge of that aspect of the club but it needs changing and what needs changing isn't simply the choice of song that nobody pays attention to. Scrap the commentary video, it doesn't work on our small screen and it is too early anyway. Get more interaction on the pitch with Toby. The Toby tyke we see now is quite honestly absolutely boring. There is no spontaneous behavior he just walks round the edge of the pitch. Back in the good old days he was the centre of attention now he's nothing but a side show, a side show shoved into the corner. He's the shower gel you got at Christmas. You know it's there somewhere but you pay no attention to it. (Is that just me?) The first indication that the players are due to come out should be fanfare for the common man blaring out of the speakers. It's a call to put your pint down and get in your seats. The opening bars of that get you to your feet. You're ready and you're excited. Now timerider hits and you clap to the beat knowing they're coming. After around a minute you are still clapping to the beat and the players emerge from the tunnel which hasnt got a stupid box in front of it. The kids leading into the pitch are now actually lined up towards the centre circle not god knows where they currently aim. The empty west stand has got flags in it covering the empty seats. The players actually run out of the tunnel and they line up in the centre circle not at the empty side of the pitch with their backs turned to 90% of the crowd. While this is all happening the screen shows an animation of the club badge and a video that matches with the music. It is full of close ups and not long cut away shots as that's what it's best at. When the players are lined up n the centre the camera pans down the line showing close ups of their faces. Just my opinion like but it would be a VAST improvement and doesn't need a second song to play after the first song which plays after the first video
