Mate at work has mentioned to me a couple of times now that we're going to be making a signing that is going to break out transfer record and put "bums on seats." Has anyone else heard about this ? TIA
I cant see it..... Goes against what we've been trying to achieve in the transfer market recently. Plus I cant see our wage structure allowing us to sign that sort of player.
Whilst we could probably afford to pay £1.5m+ for a player, I can't think of any player who would cost that much who would then fit into our wage structure, so I doubt this rumour, unless there was some subtle twist like the selling club subsidising the wages in return for, say, a buy back clause.
Fletcher? But I'd echo the post above - wages would be far more of a barrier for a marquee signing than any transfer fee would be.
Sounds exciting, hopefully true! My guess is John Bostock, based on very little other than we need a midfielder and he plays for Lens Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
West Ham want £6 million for him allegedly. Even if we do break our record transfer fee, I can't see us spending that on him. He'd hardly be a 'bums on seats' signing in my opinion either. Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk
