Yes because Freddie Flintoff was the most professional of professionals. A smoker and a drinker well known for his antics off the field.

Do you not realise Hecky is a 'former professional' aswell and he obviously thinks something can be gained from it.

I reckon it will be a massive piss up and a continuation of Hecky's stupidily unnecessary long Summer holiday.

I trust Hecky completely. I think he's honest, professional and has nothing but the best interests of the club and his players at the heart of everything he does.

He will ensure that anything positive that can be gained from the training camp will be gained.

These training camps are not my cup of tea but Hecky is infinitely better qualified than I am at training and preparing professional footballers.

Big red double decker bus been seen going down grove street with hecky driving.

He's going where the sun shines brightly. He's going where the sea is blue. He's seen it in the movies, says let's see if it's true.

Presumably another of your underhand digs at Hecky

If you cant see that spending a week together is beneficial to helping integrate new members of the squad there is no hope for you.

Also if you cant stop constantly posting simply to have digs at Hecky or other players simply because they are popular then its time to say a final farewell.

Or 3 sportsmen commenting on something Barnsley will undertake in less than a week. It's great to listen to what they think of different subjects. Not sure how much you like cricket Gally but if you listen to a lot of them they will say it's pointless.

I have enough experience of corporate team building experiences to know if done right they can be helpful. I also know that spending time outside the normal day to day with your teammates can help form stronger bonds.

Didn't listen to much of it but it sounded like Flintoff clearly didnt give it the time of day

I also know that we've been a close nit team the last few years so someone knows what they are doing in this respect. Hecky perhaps?

And I know the only reason you have posted is to have another pop at Hecky so I'm saying it stops here otherwise next time is truly the last time. You've had enough warnings and second chances. There are no more!

I hope they all have a massive gangbang, come back and win the league.

Then Hungary will be a success.

Giving this more time than it deserves but its a well proven fact that done correctly team bonding events are beneficial to all concerned.
As I dont believe Hemsworth has ever been employed as part of a team he cant speak from any personal experience. I can, I have been on several events where a team has gone away with a common purpose and they are generally very successful. They don't suit everyone, and I suspect Flintoff is the sort of person they dont work for but for a football team - especially one with several new faces they can be great for getting the team spirit that is needed.

I've asked my brother in law who is a professional about this after I saw this post, and he believes that while some of the lads may treat these things like an all expenses paid holiday, 95% of players he has played alongside found it brings the team closer together helps the new members of the squad integrate better.

Also, he says that pre season training can be as monotonous as it physically demanding, and just going elsewhere for a week or so helps the mind focus and get things done.

But obviously 3 ex pro's who are tying to attract listeners to their podcast say otherwise, so your right, Hecky is a lovely person....

To save you any more time and aggro Phil as to what will happen may I suggest you rent out the first Inbetweeners movie.

If you listen to it he's not the only one that thought they were pants. Robbie Saveage didn't enjoy them either and Matt Syed made his thoughts known. It was something I thought I'd post because like a few times this season it fits with discussion.

In cricket they happen a lot. England players have been injured on them in the past. James Anderson cracked a rib in 2010.
