Says we've turned bids down for Roberts from two Championship clubs. No bids for Yiadom. Hecky tight lipped about Mcburnie and Pott's. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
They will come back with improved offers. If we are going to sell we need to do it asap to give us the time and money to bring in a replacement.
Hopefully he doesn't get sold to another Championship club, especially not Birmingham, they are no better than we are
Agreed. If Burnley came in with good money and Robbo wanted to go we couldn't have any bad feelings towards him and I'm sure he'd go with everyone's best wishes. Birmingham a bit different but it all depends on money at the end of the day
He's hopeful of adding a few more players before they go to Hungary, on Monday. Birmingham are obviously one of the clubs in for Roberts. Haven't Sunderland been linked also?
Would be a good step up to move to Prem but very much a sideways step to Brum (although they would offer silly wages) Would not be too upset to see him move Burnley though, as much as I love Robbo would be a good move for him and I have a little soft spot for Burnley after being forced to watch them loads by my Burnley supporting housemate at uni.
I just hope all these transfers have a decent sell on clause. Can see Mawson going for £30 mil after his highly impressive U21 tournament following improved displays at Swansea. Roberts also has the potential to go for 5x what we'll sell him for.
It would be awful to lose Roberts but if we get good money to strengthen the squad then that's the best we can hope for. I'd prefer him to go to a Premiership club. If he doesn't go there now then he might never. On the plus side it might stop our tactic of just giving him the ball and him playing it long. I prefer to see us play through the midfield.
Agreed. They'll go if the money is right, but let's make sure it is right, as well as the add ons. Others may not agree, but I think Roberts is a 5 million plus man. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Well we had three CBs last season and relied on youth as a back up. Think we'll do same again. And as mentioned in other threads McCarthy can play CB and won player of the season at wycombe in that position. So not short in my opinion.
Also Kpkewa looks more of a centre back than a full back. Maybe he's someone we could develope and save some brass. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
