Seen it on Twitter but not seen it posted on here yet.

A film about the Premiership Promotion Campaign.

They're looking for £5,000 to make this.

Just about to come on & post about this! I'm really looking forward to working on it - it's a film that'll document the rise of our club to the Premier League, it's battle to stay there but also talk about the impact the successes had on the Town and its people only a decade after the end of the Miners Strike.

Our initial target is £5k to give us some working capital for location & equipment hire but ideally raise beyond that to give us some certainty & be able to enter into commercial agreements with broadcasters to buy footage of the seasons. Anyway, it's started off ok so fingers crossed we get there!

I'll pledge. And also, if it helps, I'm happy to play Clint Marcelle for free.

To clarify to anyone reading by the way - The money you pledge only gets charged if the full amount is raised.

That removes a lot of possible risk.

So - we've hit £5k which means we're actually doing this...

Our stretch target is £15k which will give us the opportunity to purchase footage from the PL & EFL. Don't stop pledging if you want to support it!

As an organiser of such good things yourself would you know whether lottery funding would be available for such a project being as it's a community project and not just football.
Just a thought apologies if already considered.

No need to apologise mate. Best bet for us is Arts Council but difficult to do - if we can self finance through crowd funding then I think that'd be great.

Yeah crowd funding is a great idea and would be nice for Arts funding etc to run alongside to enhance quality and quantity, but whatever way it goes I hope it really comes off because it's a great idea .
I know how hard it was for me to try and support the team I loved from being very young amidst the backdrop of a struggle that took me ages to recover from and still affected me during that great season especially as it came not long after Houghton Main and Grimethorpe collieries the last two mines in Barnsley closed for good.

Love it, and can't wait for my DVD, but it's bloody infuriating that it looks like the rights holders will get roughly twice as much money as everybody else who works on the film combined.
