I also thought that it would mean one big sale per window, two maximum in order to allow continuity and stability. Selling the entire first team in the space of six months is nuts, and risks being a false economy if we go back down. Also, one season in the Premier League is worth far more than all our incoming transfer fees put together.
We have a replacement in Lindsay. Maybe another for extra cover but where does this leave Adam Jackson?
I agree it's horrible to see the best players leave right in front of our noses, but what can the club do?? We cannot compete with the wages they are offering, even at championship level, £18k, £28k, just silly money. Thing is, we would all leave too for those figures, it will set someone up for life. Connor left around 25th Jan, say he was on £4k a week here & a reported £28k a week at Villa, since he left he has earned an EXTRA £528k!!!! That's just 1 player, times it by 6, 7, 8, it just gets daft.......
Can't blame em really. Also, deal structures are probably very complex with add ons etc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Don't have to, but makes sense to. One year left, we can make a good profit and trust ourselves to find a suitable replacement. If we've not already found one in Lindsay. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
Not sure yet , The plan BFC are working to is still in progress, It got us to a good position last season. you could argue it cost us or you could argue it got us there in the first place let's see what happens I can guess your position.
