The plan hasn't got us to where we are though. The manager has. You can only repeat so many times. The plan has seen us lose Winnall, Hourihane and Watkins (who the plan failed as we received nowt) and not replace them, and I don't think we will. If we don't I think we will be relegated. What does that say about the plan? Or is it still a success if we sell Pinnock for £5m but end up in League One?
This is the problem with the 'undisclosed' fees. The club are wanting the fans to get on board & back the plan by its tough to when you've no idea whether we're getting good deals or not. I wish there was more clarity
yes it is. you can't pick and choose whats part of the plan and what isn't. The manager is part of the plan, the club even stated that when appointing Hecky. its been stated many times the manager has to buy into the clubs plan. Also we know categorically the plan carries risk that we try to manage i.e. Scowan. If they return their investment in good performances on the pitch a large part of the investment has been returned.
So when we sell players you moan and when we keep players you moan? What is the club meant to do to please people like you.
Being one of tbe biggest clubs on L1 with one of tbe biggest budgets probably helped us get promoted more than any plan (and I say that as someone who supports it). Being able to loan better players than other teams was a big part of tbe reason we got promoted. Unpalatable but true. We were bottom of the league inL1 because Lee Johnson is an absolutely useless manager who was pissing away the above advantages.
