    Pretty sure Steve Job and Richard Branson and numerous other highly intelligent people didn't even go to university.

    You must be pretty up your own arse if you think that just because you went to a certain university you are instantly of superior intelligence.

    To be fair reading back through the thread it was 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. They were both pretty insulting of each others intelligence.

    Granted the fat thumbs did make me chuckle.

    Still incredibly sad (from both of them) to try putting someone down based on what university they went to, IQ, etc etc.

    Strange as theres not much out there to suggest that makes it a university.

    But If you have found some random piece of information that suggests this college is a university than I am happy to stand corrected.

    Pretty pedantic response anyway. I was clearly making the point that going to a certain university does not instantly make you more intelligent than somebody else.

    Colleges are often Universities in the USA - don't know if that one is to be honest.

    I agree with your last sentence to a point but Tommy is trying to play Billy Big Balls - I'm just bringing him down a peg or two.

    I have more qualifications than you could tattoo over the extent of my arse.
    They look good on paper (or a better arse).
    They have never really helped me too much in business, other than being literate.

    Supporting Barnsley is not a life choice, like a tattoo. I'm stuck with it. It is OK. Good friends and ups and downs.

    Most degrees aren't really worth much - even it's from a respected institution. However, if someone says they got a first from Oxford we'd be impressed. Less so if, on closer inspection, it's from Oxford Brooks.

    Tyrone's willing waving is not really justified. All I'm saying.

    Agreed. I just don't like people trying to put people down for what school/college/university they did or didn't go to. Education isn't the be all and end all to success.

    That being said if Tyrone is constantly bragging about his intelligence or putting other down then its probably somewhat justified.

    Cant say I've been here long enough to determine that anyway :)
