Surely that is not his job, recruitment is down to Hecky & his team, whilst our CEO sorts out contracts & admin etc, plus where he comes from is irrelevent, its his CV what will have got him the job.

Well, this Happy Clapper certainly won't be getting on the backs of the new players if they don't hit the ground running.

I'm surprised at you advocating signing John Terry. Doesn't really fit in with the plan as, at 36, there's little resale value.

I agree it would be an ambitious signing though.

Harold Shipman came across as more honest than Benjamin.

Sessi when he turns out to be better than N'Golo Kante.

I read his comment to be tongue in cheek.

Apparently it's being said that whilst he's playing he'll recieve £100k a week and then when
he hangs is boots up he will be given a top coaching role.

If that goes to plan they will then mentor him towards being their next Club manager.
Massive outlay and no guarantees that everything will pan out if you ask me.

No ambition.......more like a massive millstone round their necks if it doesn't
work for both him and them. Thank God we don't take gambles like that, cos to my mind that's what it is.!

People are quick to knock the club for signing the top lower league players but never suggest any realistic signings. I'd much rather we sign young players with potential to make a name for themselves in this league than chucking money at it and giving the likes of terry his final pay packet on 60k a week at 36 year old

Neither will this somewhere in the middle-er. Unless we re-sign Stuart Rimmer or Scott Wiseman.

Whereas I'll go back on my statement if we re-sign Les Harris or Willie Ferry!:D

Well yeah we haven't got that luxury but if i was some billionaire I still don't think I'd want terry here and paying him 60k a week at 36 years old. Just me maybee. 10 years ago I would have loved him here though

I'm sure Willy would still have summat to offer. I once tried to interview him for South Riding. His response wasnt particularly polite!!!

Nope neither would I. Not even 10 years ago given he's a complete lovely person.
