Probably... like I said, I dont necessarily agree with the guy, just pointing out what he was insinuating.
Well, I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that Yiadom was our first choice right back who switched to left back when White got injured & now we have signed Friars & Ben Williams for cover, Yiadom would switch back to the right & possibly even further up the pitch with the arrival of Mcarthy, who I do not think has come just to make the numbers up.
Not even considered this. How far up the pitch did he play at Barnet? Imagine he'd make a rascal winger. That being said, I cant see it.
I was under the impression that Yidaom was a RB but ended up playing LB. If McCarthy is also a RB is the intention for him to play there and Yiadom at LB, or Fryers at LB and Yiadom at RB, or most worryingly Yiadom to be sold and the two new lads play FB? With Kpekwa as the only cover.
I really thought Yids looked bang average at his so called natural RB position. Backwards step IMO if he plays RB next season. LB by a mile for me. Hence if he is not in the plan to start as first choice LB then sell and put the money into a goalscorer..
I think at some stage Williams will come into the equation but originally you said a replacement would be needed if Yiadom moved on, whilst I am saying, there seems to be a replacement already there in Mcarthy & the left back position appears to be taken care of.
Yids was brilliant at right back and then covered left back well only because of White's injury. He is a right-footed, right back who also can play right wing (where he started off and played much of his last season for Barnet), end of. The quickest way to persuade him to leave imo would be to put him at left back when he's on the verge of nailing down the right back spot for his national team!
Hope so but if he's offered First Team Premiership football & 4 times the wages, well who can blame him.....
Yiadom played right sided midfield /winger on numerous occasions for Barnet. My mate a Barnet fan reckons he is better suited there.
When I first saw him I thought he looked better coming forward. He came along leaps and bounds defensively as the season progressed.
We got caught out several times last season with a lack of options in certain positions. It only takes an injury and a suspension at the same time and we're scraping the barrel without an emergency loan market.
In terms of defenders we're fine IMO if Yiadom doesn't get sold. And if he doesn't I expect us to start the season with him at LB and McCarthy at RB
I think it's pretty obvious that fryer and Mccarthy have comes as starters yiadom definitely on his way. Isgrove again in front of him wide right and yids wouldn't be happy on the bench. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Its all about having a strong squad.I think Yids and Mccarthy will be the starting full backs. Its up to the others to put pressure on and stake there claim.
Aye he was poor defensively at the start. I think it was the Fulham game where he had a mare albeit against a very good team. He soon learned though and got better and better throughout the season to become our best player in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Did you see him at Villa away? He was phenomenal at right back and looked every bit the international player he is. He had some great games at left back but none better than his performance at Villa Park. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
