    ideal move for all involved except Donny fans and their almighty wisdom, he'd never even consider lowering himself ya know!

    I would welcome that signing. Some of my mates from Donny who support Rovers really rate
    him. I will have to listen to Radio Dee Dar if we do sign him. They have a fan who always phones
    up to slag us off. I'll take great pleasure in listening to him whingeing if that deal does go through.!

    As much as I'd love this to happen I'm pretty sure it's all ********. I think he's just high on most fans wish lists. I rate him massively as I've stated before on here. Natural finishers are worth their weight in gold.

    I'll bet it's Brian The Blade he's always harping on about signing Marquis, would bust his gut if he signed for us and not them ,especially if he turned them down.

    It'll be interesting to see how he does at this level if it does happen. Got a few friends who support Donny and they've all said he's a grafter though.

    I work in Donny and happen to know ALL their fans. There's Derek, Malcolm and Big Roy who occasionally takes his wife too, boosting their home attendance to 4.
    Seriously though, I have joked with a few that we're on the verge of signing Marquis, and they hate it. Not just thought of losing him, but losing him to us, the 'bigger club' (which I mention probably a bit too often).

    I get what you're saying but he'd hardly be a coup. He ought to be banging Fergusons door down insisting on a move to us . One decent season in the forth division that's all he's done .

    That's him Derek. He sets their standards to either match or better Barnsley's. Flattering but quite sad really.!
    Always phones Praise or Grumble when they win. Conspicuous by his absence when they lose.

    He's like la de da Gunner Graham re- "we're gunna do this or we're gunna do the other".

    With four games to go he was on every night " we're gunna win the Championship etc etc".
    They lost their last four and finished third behind Pompey and Plymouth.!
