That bloke has posted about us before and been correct. Which concerns me. If he goes he goes. But hope we get more than £2m. If we've accepted than then think we've sold short. £3m with add ons should have been absolute minimum.
hope its not true 2 mill for best full back in the championship we'v had our pants pulled down again .
All this bloke is doing is tweeting what he's been reading in the Daily Mirror.! There's quite a lot in today's edition regarding our league. As well as the piece on Yids it says that Harry Rednapp is poised to raid Villa for ex- Bournemouth defender Tommy Elphick who is now 29 years old. Derby boss Gary Rowett is lining up a bid for Leicester's 23 year old midfielder Tom Lawrence who scored 11 goals in 36 games on loan at Ipswich last season. Wednesdays keeper Kieran Westwood could be in line for a move to Middlesbrough who have now upped their original bid of £3 million to £4.5 million. Good news on former Red Steve Davis who was formerly the boss at Crewe Alexander. Now aged 51 he's been appointed as Head Coach at newly relegated Leyton Orient. On a sad note Wolves keeper Carl Ikeme is being supported by ex- Villa stalwart Stylian Petrov. Ikeme has been diagnosed with acute leukaemia and Petrov who is himself in remission from the disease is visiting him ahead of him undergoing intensive chemotherapy. Sadly the disease alters your life and the term that's often used " gruelling treatment" is not an exaggeration. It really does flatten you, nausea and extreme fatigue being just two of the more common side effects. I know that Wolves are our rivals but I feel sure that we all wish the lad well for his future in the hope he can beat the disease and hopefully for his and his family's sake he is able to make a full recovery.!
2million is rubbish, hope we'd turn that down. At least it's not to another Championship team though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You learn something new everyday.! It's just titled " Football Spy" . Although looking closer there are pieces by John Cross on Oxlade Chamberlain staying at Arsenal, Roma bidding for Man Utd's Martial a piece by the guy on Twitter James Nursey on Iheanacho and Darren Lewis ( who I know well) on De Boer wanting to take Loftus Cheek from Chelsea to Palace. The bit on Yids is penned by Lewis so it appears that Nursey is nicking his copy.! He's the Midlands journo for the Mirror hence the bit on Ikeme.
I was at Oakwell at lunch time collecting season tickets. Andy Yiadom outside with his agent (I presume agent)discussing things next to presumed agents car , they then went to enter the ponty end still but still standing outside discussing. I came out of shop and said are you extending your contract Andy , both just laughed and joked and didn't answer the question . I just replied I hope your not going like rest of them ! Obviously something going off though
He would have to be at Oakwell to travel with the group to Guiseley if of course he's going to be involved. Could go one of two ways. GG said we were looking to make him a new offer so that's the other reason they could be there although it's unlikely we would be able to match any offer he would probably get from Huddersfield. Sadly it appears we are resigned to being a finishing school for the so called "bigger"/ richer clubs for now. If he does go , for me I enjoyed watching him and wish him well but at some point in the future we really need to put our foot on the ball and contemplate whether by this steady exodus of our best players are we not exacerbating justified criticism and heightening the frustrations of our fan base to the point they start to vote with their feet. ? More importantly could it also eventually " hack off" the best asset our Club has had for years namely Paul Heckingbottom.?
If he doesn't sign - then he needs to go soon. And if he decides to go then fingers crossed the club gets a good deal for him - but on past evidence I'll not hold mi breathe. Although in saying that the club have improved massively to how they were a few years back - up to the Stones debacle when Patrick said he didn't know how good he was. At the same time the manager and Bobby was writing in the Chronicle that 'we have a Rolls Royce of a player at the club'. Tha couldn't make it up !!!
I think we have to look at where we are now, and the seeds were sown 1-2 years ago. Yiadom was brought in on a two year deal, the new signings are all on 3 year deals. It's case of take the medicine now, and rebuild. I like Yiadom, but he is nowhere near a finished article. When you look at the super impressive Malone going for "just" £5m from Fulham, Yiadom isn't anywhere near in his class as yet.
Another 3 million in the money jar on top of the 15 million already in there, it's gonna overflow before long . We're just a stepping stone and every season is a rebuilding job for Hecky . Good luck lad . It was obvious that Robbo didn't want to leave , at some point we have to retain players like him for the long term good of the club and the backing of the fans .
I have to say that I heard hecky talking about yiadom the other day and was really disappointed in him. He said that Huddersfield had made a low bid and it wasn't enough. If they want him they need to bid higher. All I was thinking while listening was '**** me hecky, just say he's not for sale instead of offering him for sale'
Everything and everyone is for sale, it's embarrassing, it's like a twelve month January sale . Weirdest thing is that most fans condone the sale of our best players. Chuffin crackers !
