It's a positive sign as far as I'm concerned. They wouldn't risk him getting
crocked if a big money move was on the cards I don't think- would they.?

 

I meant what indication does it perhaps imply as to his future with us.

 

Sorry DT. I think it indicates that there's a fair chance he might be staying unless
Huddersfield submit a fresh bid that meets our valuation that is.

It's interesting that one of the lads said he saw Yids and his agent at the ground
when he was collecting his season ticket. Could that mean he's close to accepting
a new offer from us. Let's hope so.!

I am not being funny, Andy Yiadom is known to us, but how would anyone know it was his agent with him, he could have been anybody.

 

Not sure it means anything. Remember Mason Holgate playing for us in a friendly just before he moved to Everton despite there being lots of bid rumours.

Anything is possible. Could the "agent" have been his butler. ? Is it a "body double " playing in
his place at Guiseley whilst the real Andy Yiadom is at the John Smiths Stadium signing a £25 k a week
contract as we speak ? Whichever, the Yiadom "lookalike" will wear the captains armband at Guiseley tonight.
We will know if it's him when we get underway at 7-45pm. Yew Reds.!

 

I wouldn't argue about that. The big question is, is he at the stage in his career where he could
nail a regular place down in a Premiership team.? I honestly feel he would benefit from a couple
more seasons at Championship level. Let's hope it's with us.?

Don't get me wrong he's a decent player but he's no Eden/Hassell/Holgate or Bree is he . He's just solid really and If solid gets us 3m then we're gonna take it .

 

He's a better defender than Bree.

I remember Steele, Cranie and O'Grady all playing at Halifax Town. They were all gone a week later.

 

As I commented when he left for Villa that was Bree's problem. OK going forward but couldn't defend.!
The former Chesterfield winger Ariyibi made him look like a selling plater. Went past him with ease every time.
He'll not go much further than where he is now in my opinion. If Villa go up they'll get shut.

 

I thought we got good money for Bree. I don't think he will make the step up. A good quality championship player but no more.

I think Yiadom has potential to step up to the premier league but is very raw. He improved massively last year but is still suspect defensively and needs to work on final ball. I think 4m is about right for him in today's market.

 

But not half the player .
