Surprised we haven't come to an arrangement to end his contract. Imagine we are waiting for a club to take him on then mutually terminate the deal. Sent from my iPhone using Barnsley FC BBS Fans Forum
Well if he can't make it here with all the help and nurturing young players get then he must be a lost hope. Clearly had talent but obviously something is amiss. Shame we splashed out in relative terms for the lad.
I'd have given anything to be a professional footballer. I can't understand the lads attitude. He signed pro forms with QPR in 2004 and in that time apart from Youth football he has only played 6 games in the EFL for them. He has been loaned out to Colchester ( 4 games), Portsmouth (2 games ), Leyton Orient (9 games) and he's featured in seven games whilst he has been with us . He's also been included in four games at England U 20 level. Thirty two games in four seasons is hardly prolific. If he doesn't get his act together as someone has said he's going to end up having his contract terminated. He must have the basic talent. What a waste.!
Surely he can't be that much of a cap end. Nobody could. Actually, I heard that Liam Dickinson could out-muppet Mellis in his sleep.
He had several chances in the first team and didnt impress, since then he must have had chances in training to impress Hecky enough to get into the matchday squad and hasnt. I believe he played in some matches for the U23's and looked poor in those. The fact that he seems to have gone backwards means something is wrong somewhere and given our track record of improving players - especially defenders it is likely to be the problem is with the player - either he doesnt have the talent or his attitude is wrong. I havent seen enough of him to know which
Looked fine in the 23 matches. Hes not played since when Leeds away maybe at LEFT BACK. When he got an assist maybe. Watched few quite a lot of the highlights from last season. He was made a scape goat for a defence that leaked goals all season. Yet when the worse got to he wasn't in the team but those in the team get away with all mistakes. I always look back to both Brighton games. Knockart against him and yiadom. One winner against a measurable opponent. PH comes out with this line. Did it with George when all he needed was a run in the team.
Hecky doesn't rate him. He sees him in training and sees more of his general attitude. I'll go with Hecky.
Honest Question? Does he still get a weekly wage even though he doesn't really play any matches and if so how much he get for doing not a lot?
