Interested in bringing in Fletcher. On Fletcher and Marquis: "They are two good players" Nothing imminent - waiting on loans before moving for permanents Nothing to update re Yids or Potts Happy moaning folks!
I've got a sneaky feeling Fletcher will come. Think Marquis is a done deal. With Llorente confirmed at Swansea missing the first game of the season, McBurnie could be done a lot later than first thought.
I dont think we are close on any of them 3. Donny will want stupid money for Marquis, Fletcher will want stupid wages (which other championship clubs will pay), and McBurnie would have been done by now.
All three would be brilliant but I'm not holding my hopes up. Hope you're predictions are as accurate as before!
"Waiting on loans...." Chuff me, here we go again. Our annual panic is about to start. We'll have Plan A players who at last minute will go somewhere else, have no Plan B , then end up with our one player up front to see out the whole season. I may be over reacting a tad but doesn't it seem to happen every year? One year we'll have all our players in place long before pre-season, but that's not BFC unfortunately. We are not pro-active enough, too reactive, and we tend to lose out. Back to my little puppy.... he doesn't give a monkeys about owt just yet !!
We are planning on borrowing players first and signing to top up the squad? Any that completely the wrong way to work?
He said complete opposite yesterday permanents soon as poss loans later Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Guess it depends who the priority targets are. If we want Fletcher/McBurnie in as first choice then I can see the rationale for waiting on perm signings. For example, if we miss out on loan signings then we may wish to spend more on a permanent striker who would be ready to jump straight into the starting lineup. However, if loan moves come through then Hecky may want to target younger strikers on permanent contracts with the belief that we can develop them without the pressure of being thrown straight into the first team. Just speculating like, but that's one possible explanation. Another is Giddings reported it the wrong way round!
I may have heard that interview different to others but I found it quite up lifting. He WILL get the players in that fits the bill.Things have moved forward since Tuesday night in terms of recruitment.I can't recall him saying loans before permanents but that might be selective hearing.Hecky seems positive so should we.
You don't need a 20 goal a season striker to get promoted never mind stay up, Huddersfield top scorer was Kachunga with 13 goals- he was a loan signing too!
