Sorry for the partonising title but couldnt resist Jodie Whittaker is the new Doctor Who For some reason I find my self picturing Basil Fawlty when he didn't realise the Psychologists wife could be a doctor being as she was a woman and all that. In any case I hope she does a better job that Capaldi who managed to make me lose interest in the series
It had to happen. Just to make sure it's seen as being totally "inclusive" her assistant is likely to be a one eyed transgender trampoline artist who used to be on benefits.!
and as Jodie is white and blonde I would be amazed if her assistant was also someone the EDL would be happy with
A female Doctor Who??? They'll be wanting equal pay and the vote next!* POLITICAL CORRECTNESS GONE MAD!!* *Sarcasm alert!
Thought this was going to be about a revolutionary new female signing for us that would change the world of football forever. Leaving disappointed.
Interesting how different people see things differently I thought Ecclestone and Tennant were both excellent, Matt Smith was OK but I just havent clicked with Capaldi at all. ( My Mrs thinks Matt Smith was the best closely followed by Tennant and Ecclestone - but she also didnt like Capaldi) we both agree that Billie Piper was the best assistant though
Never got Dr Who, either as a kid or its second coming after its lengthy lay off. Always felt like a cult celebrating woeful scripting, acting and special effects. Definitely one to be added to the over rated thread.
Me too. The main problem was that he didn't benefit from writing as good as the others, but despite that I think he's my favourite of the modern Doctors. Maybe my favourite ever...
David Tennant is my favourite Doctor Who, followed by Christopher Eccleston and Colin Baker. As much as I liked Billie Piper, Nicola Bryant was always my favourite assistant. I can't imagine why. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/88/9c/c5/889cc50dd9ca756b9d9c003897681148--peri-doctor.jpg
But... isn't the doctor a bloke? Not interested in the show at all like, but I can't be doing with things like this that are just for the sake of it. I'm all for equality of pay, and women should gave as many leading roles as men etc, but if a character is already a man then why change him to a woman? Spiderman a girl? James Bond? Sorry I should clarify I was talking about the relaunched doctors of course Tom Baker is the definitive doctor.
