    I find this "lazy" business bizarre. I never noticed it at all, in fact quite the opposite. He has lots of pace and in the games I saw he used it to unsettle defenders, sadly, to little effect. I'm not sure I want him back, he didn't score enough goals, but he was far from lazy, in my opinion.

    I suppose there's a statistical chance that he was bone idle in the games I missed, and put himself about in the games I saw, but I saw what I saw in those games.

    I thought he looked very sharp in some games as well as rapid, and totally disinterested in others. Never seemed to have many shots but then was that his fault or those supposed to be supplying him? I'd have him back but I'd expect more from him this time around.

    I agree - I never had him down as idle, just ineffective most of the time. For whatever reason he didn't suit us well, and I don't see it being any different if he came back for another season. He may well go somewhere else and be much more successful - anyone remember Jon Walters when he played for us on loan for example

    Chris Wood, Deon Burton, the list goes on. !! They don't "do it" because they probably decide from the get go
    that it's not somewhere they want to be, so to avoid a possible permanent move they don't make the effort that
    they should or could.

    Cannot understand anyone saying he would be better playing alongside a tall centre forward. Armstrong isn't a striker that relies on scraps in the 6 yard box like Winnall or Bradshaw does.
    He isn't that type of player - he's more of a quick player that runs at defences - he thrives off accurate through balls from midfield - like what Mowatt can provide.

    Did'nt help that we did'nt play to his strenghts a lot of times we played long ball up to him instead of long ball to run on to

    I have to say in matches away from home he was one of the laziest most disinterested players I've seen in a long time.

    Far too one dimensional as a player relying on pace with little else to offer. Plenty of time to develop.

    What annoyed me most was that he would get offside or fluff a chance and then trudge slowly back meaning we were playing with 10 men for the next few minutes.
