I wonder if this will be successful? I'm going to invest a bit at the lower end of the scale. More for the involvement than the financial side of things. It's a bond scheme so not really donating, guessing the interest rate will be a lot better than a bank.
950k for a 1600 seater stand . Bloody hell did they only get 1 quote? . I don't think we paid much more than that for the east stand .
Tbf would be on a much bigger scale so a lot harder to achieve. Sent from my iPad using Barnsley FC BBS Fan Forum mobile app
Probably talking the best part of ten million for a new West Stand with it being the "main" stand...given the maintenance work on it this summer it's gonna be with us for a long time yet.
A supporters bar area. A genuine space might be more achievable? Sent from my iPad using Barnsley FC BBS Fan Forum mobile app
Would folk use it though? Personally I prefer going round town before the match and only get to the ground for kick off, I find supporters bars a bit sterile seeing as it just doesn't make financial sense for them to put a lot of money into it - plastic glasses, dodgy lines, old beer, not for me sorry.
I meant as a concept ( financially) given your work experience. Sent from my iPad using Barnsley FC BBS Fan Forum mobile app
Definitely a market for it, Redfearns is always full int it, no idea how financially viable it would be for the club to create a specific bar, it's only through the generosity of Hicksy and friends with their time that Redfearns works, club would obviously want to make some money out of it.
Designed a lower league sides stand last year of similar size and it was built for a bit more than that so not a bad price
