    If Yiadoms doesn't leave.

    Utility Fullback
    RELIABLE CM to partner Moncur
    Winger/striker (Marley type)
    Striker

    --------------Davies---------
    McCarthy-Angus-????????-Yiadom
    Isgrove---?????--Moncur--Hammill
    -------Bradshaw--?????---------

    Townsend
    Fryers
    CB
    Mowatt
    Mallan
    Winger
    Ugbo

    Squad cover
    Utility Fullback
    CB
    Hedges
    Sessi
    Mcgeehan
    Payne
    Brown

That gives us a squad of 25 with players in the development for cover.

The winger we sign ideally needs to be good enough to drop Hammill to the bench (as much as I love him).

The striker needs to be our main CF with Bradshaw and Ugbo fighting for a place alongside.

CB we are sorted its just who partners Angus and who misses out.

The CM needs to be someone we can 100% rely on to do a job in a 2. There are still massive question marks whether Mowatt and Sessi can play this role and with Mcgeehan out Id very much like a Matty James style loan/signing to come in and take some pressure off Moncur.

The fullback ideally a Premier League loan who could come and and play 10-15 games to cover injury ect.

Still plenty of work to do and I'm very much looking forward to see how we shape up.

He did look better but the majority of Leeds fans say he is poor as an out and out CM and his performances last season backed that up.

Like I say we just need someone who is 100% reliable to play alongside Moncur as he himself is still learning that role.

Problem with trying to recruit someone who will 100 percent do a job in centre mid is that it will limit the opportunities to develop players we've already shelled out good money for. Given its the area we've probably got most cover for we should be looking to develop what we have and focusing resources on other areas.

For me we should be looking for 2 strikers and a winger to come in before season starts then take stock and bring in some additional loans before end of the transfer window if there are any obvious issues.

I don't see it is a problem more a necessity.

If Sessi isn't good enough we're left with 2 number 10s and an injured Mcgeehan.

Has anybody thought that Andy Yiadom could do a job in front of the back four, with Friers & Mcarthy being the full backs ? I am not saying that this is the way forward, just thought I would throw it out for debate.

If Hecky doesn't believe the likes of Bird, Kay & Brown (for example) are quite ready to be a part of the first team squad just yet, I'd guess that perhaps we might need a couple of strikers, a defensive midfielder & a utility defender.
    Possibly.:D
Modern day equivalents of Mick Butler, Ashley Ward, Ray McHale & Neil Cooper would fit the bill quite nicely!:D

    Holding centre midfielder.
2 strikers - one big and powerful, one with pace.
Winger - again with pace.....and trickery.
Full back who is comfortable either right or left.

I'd expect Mallan, McGeehan when fit and Mowatt to be either first choice or pushing for selection so this talk of needing a 100% reliable midfielder goes over my head. In any case have we ever had a 100% reliable player in any position? Does the superhuman footballer exist?
