    We have neither the wide men nor the forwards to play 4-4-2 on a consistent basis.

    I've told you before, we need another 7 goalkeepers. 4 keepers on 3 year contracts (with an option in favour of the club to extend for a decade) would be a decent start, then 3 more on 5 season loans as back up.
