Good early goal , spot of rain , lineswomen mistake , should have been two nil . Personally I think that more controversy in football is caused by "linespeople" . How can we improve them ? Fitness ? Nous ?
Video ref for me. Been watching the cricket today. It doesn't take long and makes sure the fairest decisions possible are made. That was a brilliant header from Millie Bright and was not offside for me. We will have every right to feel miffed if it ends up making a difference especially as the Spaniards have now had around 76% of the possession and are pushing us back. Let's hope we can nick another in the second half.
Technology is really the only way. How much of the player has to be in front to be considered offside? I genuinely do not know. The only solution to make it 100% right every time is to make it so that it is a fixed and small point on a player such as their trailing foot or front foot. Then they could use Hawkeye to accurately state which was further forward at any given time.
Why do the women's football play with a different set of rules to the men's game?, when did they ban rolling around in agony at every slight touch? Or chasing the ref waving imaginary yellow cards? and worst of all no crowding around the ref having a paddy, c'mon ladies if you want to be taken seriously you need to learn the rules.
