Cant make my mind up if hecky was frustrated with things in general or he was tired ..... i cant dismiss the under current i detected in his voice and that bubbly positivity that he usually transmits just wasnt there....i for one think it shows that he realises just how big a problem he faces getting this team sorted.like i said i will give him the benefit of doubt of tiredness but i fear the former may be true....hope im wrong but i reckon PC has given him one orange too many to juggle with one arm tied behind his back.
That interview is FRIGHTENING to say we are a week or so away from the start of the season. As things stand we are going to struggle first month or so of the season. Hope Hecky is able to prevent the rot setting in.
My cup is half full.A few more signings and we'll be ok.When we get up a running and as the season progresses we will get stronger and stronger. In Hecky I trust.
Agreed, he was downbeat & seemed a bit frustrated. Bet he is sick & tired of answering questions about new signings....
Really feel Hecky he is the one who repeatedly has to face all the questions and probably feels like giving a answer closer to how he actually feels. I for one am fearful we really need a solid start if we get the end of September and we are right down the bottom of the league the rot could set in
Lindsay and his groin injury. I believe he may have tweaked that when warming up on Saturday. I saw him in some discomfort prior to kick off but he appeared to run it off. If he didn't tell the physio then he ought to have done.
I think he his downbeat - he knows how far we are from being competitive. Top marks for resilience, but the guy is being asked to come up with a miracle in just a few weeks. The last thing he needs now is for Yids to exit.
Every manager is saying the same.. It would be foolish for any manager to say we are fully up to speed and ready. People reading far too much into friendly matches. Otherwise how would premier league Huddersfield feel having only beaten us 1 nil with a last min goal if we are so bad... Lets see who we bring in to bolster the squad, then bring on the season!! U Reds..
I got exactly that impression too, he seemed very down to me. His usual spark and enthusiasm just was not there at all. Yes it worried me too.
Sounded like he is frustrated at saying the same things to the same players time after time and not getting any improvement . I once experienced similar at grass roots level and it does piss you off .
Two things about the interview: 1 - If you can't hear the interviewer asking the questions, then when Hecky answers "Yes", then how are we supposed to work out what was asked? He might be being asked e.g. "do you watch videos of men in sexual combat with horses, like the former Headteacher of Darton High School?" 2 - Hecky needs to get that persistent cough looked at.
Mmmmm interesting but rather disturbing response . Have you been to your trick cyclist recently . Although I agree with your observation re: not hearing the question without an atomic volume booster . Same as political press questions (sorry to lower the tone )
